From 1960, the Studebaker was not only built in the US, but Australia as well The Studebaker Avanti was a personal luxury coupe built only between June 1962 and December 1963, less than 6000 were built. The Avanti featured a radical fiberglass body design mounted on a modified Studebaker Lark Daytona 109-inch convertible chassis with a modified 289 Hawk engine, instead of a conventional grille, air for the front mounted engine enters from under the front of the vehicle. A Paxton supercharger was offered as an option. Engine; 240hp 289 V8 |
