🖼️1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible

The fourth generation Continental was built from 1961-69, no Capri or Premiere, the Continental was the only Lincoln produced, now a slab sided car with trademark rear hinged rear 'suicide' doors, the thin B pillar allowed for the use of frameless door glass. 4 door sedans and 4 door convertibles From 1961-64, the Continental had a convex grille, with mild revisions each year Wheelbase was increased by 3 inches in 1964 For 1965, the convex grille was replaced by a more angular blunt hood with an upright flat grille design. In 1966, finer bars in the grille, indicators inboard again, another 5 inches was added to the wheelbase and a 2 door Hardtop was added to the range, the convertible got a rear window, the 430 V8 was enlarged to 462 cubic inches.
