It’s the ninth version of the company’s electric vehicle that has, just recently, started outselling Porsche’s precious 911. It’s bad enough when your icon starts getting outsold by an SUV. But a battery-powered sedan? Regardless, the GTS is the most sporting of all those nine variants. Of course, “sporting” in Porsche-speak is different from, say, Dodge's use of the term, focusing on balance rather than brute force, delicacy of steering rather than blinding acceleration. That’s just a long way of saying that those thinking the GTS will be the fastest of Taycans will be disappointed. What the GTS can boast, though, is handling in spades. If you want something that steers more precisely than this electrified GTS, you’re going to have to lose two doors, ditch the battery, and spend a boatload more money. |
