This beautiful classic is powered by a 383cid engine with 4 bbl carburetor mated to a 3 speed torqueflight automatic transmission. The four barrel carburetor added to the standard 383cid engine was an option at an extra cost that had higher compression ratio and a higher octane gasoline requirement. The torqueflight automatic transmission was also an option from the factory at extra cost. From the factory this car produced with 315 horsepower. This highly original classic is loaded with options. Some of these include air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, and a tilt wheel. The air conditioning was recently serviced and blows ice cold. This car previously underwent a frame off restoration and maintains the original chrome bumpers. The interior in this Newport is all original. The most impressive part of this 1965 Chrysler is the way it drives. The power steering coupled with the power brakes and meticulous care of the car results in an excellent driving experience.
