This is the new Ferrari Amalfi, which succeeds the Roma and brings vital updates to Ferrari's entry-level car. At more than £200,000, of course, entry-level is a relative phrase. This is a luxury sports/GT car that has 631bhp from its twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which drives the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The Amalfi may be new - although just how new is one of the subjects in this review - but its rivals remain largely the same: the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Bentley Continental GT, and Porsche 911 Turbo.
