Toyota started producing automobiles in 1933.
Toyota's small car, the Corolla was introduced in 1966, built over twelve generations, one of the best selling cars in the world.
This is a car from the 1966-70 E-10 first generation. The Corolla featured bucket seats and floor shift. 
It was originally available in E-10 2 or 4 door sedan, E-15 2 door Coupe and E-16 2 door wagon with the 1077cc 4 cyl. The sportier variant, the fastback Sprinter was also sold in Japan.
In 1969 the facelifted model got a central divider in the grille, models now were the E-11 2 or 4 door sedan, E-17 2 door Coupe and E-18 2 door wagon with the 1166cc 4 cyl. (1200 badge)
Toyota Australia manufactured Toyotas from 1963 until 2017, the Toyota Corolla from 1968-1999 at Australian Motor Industries (AMI) in Port Melbourne, then from 1994 at Altona. (This car has the AMI badge on the front guard). 
Toyota New Zealand also manufactured Toyotas from 1967-1998. The Corolla was assembled in New Zealand at  Steel Motor Assemblies in Christchurch and Campbell Motor Industries in Thames.
