In the first race of the weekend, Mirko Bortolotti in the SSR Performance Lamborghini starts from pole, right beside him the Manthey "Grello" of Thomas Preining. In the second race, Ricardo Feller put his Abt Sportsline Audi on pole, but the rest of the grid is breathing down his neck. Déjà vu at the start for his teammate Kelvin van der Linde who drops down the order after a spin and is left limping behind the field for a second time in a row. But in both races, the weather conditions do their best to shake up the field and in the end, it is a rookie who does what no one expected of him.
