This one has interesting Greek plates. I've now discovered the meaning is the car belongs to the Automobile and Touring Club of Greece. I believe the writing on the right reads "EANA" or ΕΛΠΑ in Greek. Searching that directs me to this website: <a href="http://www.elpa.gr/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">www.elpa.gr/</a> but it's in Greek so I can't understand a word of it.

Love these old classics, and they look more modern than they are, in my opinion.

This example was 'bottom of the range', with its 2.0 litre engine. Looks remarkably neat and tidy, obviously the owner cherishes it. It's a pre-facelift example, and 175,000 were sold in its 5 year lifespan.

Here's the interesting fact of the day: In 2004 a Greek taxi driver donated his 1976 Mercedes-Benz 240D to the Mercedes-Benz Museum Collection with 4.6 million kilometres on the odometer, which is recognised as the Mercedes-Benz with the highest recorded mileage known to date.
