Dodge Ram SRT-10- The Dodge Ram SRT was created by DaimlerChrysler's PVO (Performance Vehicle Operations) division, using Dodge Viper and Chrysler Prowler engineers. Extensive wind tunnel testing was used in styling the exterior of the Ram SRT. This is the second time that Dodge has put a Viper engine into a Ram pickup. At the 1996 Chicago Auto Show, Dodge introduced a concept Dodge Ram with a Viper Generation 2 engine, but it was not put into production. The Dodge Ram VTS was painted Banzai Blue with dual white skunk stripes, housed a 488 cid. V10, a six-speed Borg-Warner manual gearbox, and 17 inch Viper GTS wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich 275/60-HR17 Comp T/A HR4 tires. Revell made a 1/25th plastic scale model of the Dodge Ram VTS. The main attraction of the SRT-10 is its engine, which is an 8.3 Liter V10 Viper Engine. This engine produces 500 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 525 ft·lbf (712 N·m) of torque at 4,200 rpm. The regular cab, with a total wet weight of 5100 lb, making the truck reach a top speed of 155 mph (249 km/h), and can accelerate the regular cab SRT-10 from 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds and the Quad Cab version in 4.9 seconds

Ferrari FXX EVO- The FXX is based on the supercar Enzo from which it retains some technology. The developments on this prototype were focused on increasing the power output of the engine, reducing the gearbox shifting time and increasing the efficiency of the braking system where new pads were matched with the carbon fiber ceramic composite discs found on the Enzo. During the course of the years, Ferrari introduced the Evoluzione package mainly focused on reducing drag and increasing the overall aerodynamic coefficient of the car. Ferrari built 30 units of which 29 were sold to clients and 1 was allocated to Michael Schumacher when he retired from racing in 2006.

Mercedes-Benz GLS 350d First Drive- The new GL-Class SUV family follows a new nomenclature that represents the model it's built off. So, the GLA comes from the A-class, the GLC comes from the C-Class and the model we are testing, yes, is built off the S-Class. The GL-Class is not to be confused with the hard core G-Class off roader, the GL models are the soft "SUV" version. www.mynrma.com.au/motoring-services/reviews/car-reviews/m...

1958 Chevrolet Impala- The New London to New Brighton Antique Car Run is this week and I have been having intermittent problems with my camera. Instead of going to the Car Buffs' Breakfast and the Minnewaska Classic Car Show, I took my Sony A560 DSLR to National Camera Exchange. Well it was not a user problem and I found out that repairs would take 6-8 weeks. The Antique car run events start Wednesday. :( Classic Rides & Rods in Annandale, Minnesota had a some cars shining in the sun, so I had to stop and snap a few shots. Click here for more car pictures at my Flickr site.
