1991 Renault Clio RL- I'm so pleased I finally managed to spot one of the "holy grail" Renault Clios! Early H reg Clios seem to be so hard to come across these days. it's also less common as it's lower spec than most survivors of this age. I like the look of the black bumpers and those interesting steel wheels. The colour also seems to be a lesser seen yellow- rather faded in this case. Hard to think it's 23 years old now! Sales of the Clio in the UK started in March 1991, and this one's May '91 registered, so fairly early on. It could well be OAP owned judging by the condition. I still see lots of the later Clios, but the first generation aren't easy spots any more. There can't be too many H plates around now. 'UL' is a central London plate- very close to where I spotted it (South London). The vehicle details for H538 YUL are: Date of Liability 01 08 2014 Date of First Registration 07 05 1991 Year of Manufacture 1991 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1171cc CO₂ Emissions Not Available Fuel Type PETROL Export Marker N Vehicle Status Licence Not Due Vehicle Colour YELLOW Vehicle Type Approval Not Available

Chevy Chevelle arrival- I'm finally getting around to posting last month's Cars & Coffee event from three weeks back. Things got derailed a bit when, the day after attending this and an Evo meet at S&R Performance (post on that to come), I woke up with a bad case of what my wife thinks was heat exhaustion. No more 2 event weekends without carrying some water. Anyways, on this outing to Cars & Coffee, I arrived 20 minutes later than last time (made a wrong turn and had to go over the bridge twice), and had to park outside the event, more over towards the exotics. 1995-1997 Volkswagen Passat (3A) GL 2.0 sedan (23160292653)- I wished I was able to get this one on a better angle! Looked fairly clean and those registration plates - VUW-793, would be the original plates for this car. Castle Motors in Norwood are a upper/premium used car dealership that sell a lot of VW's BMW's, Merc's, Volvo's, etc, basically anything Euro.

Forza 3, of all things, and the unveiling of the Sesto Elemento concept, combined to reignite my childhood interest in Lamborghini. An emphasis on power to weight ratio? You’ve got my attention. After spending more time around these bulls this year than I ever would have thought in my previous 29 years, I’m really wanting to get behind the wheel of one of these beasts. Chris's 71 Pontiac Lemans- I was leaving WSFS the other day and noticed on Rte 13, a car carrier hauling an old Pontiac.... Well after realizing that I had my camera with me, I decided to snap off a few pics of it while driving down the road... After clicking off two pics, I realized that in my excitement, I forgot that I needed to get groceries, and had to go back to PathMark.... When I pulled into the lot, I noticed from across the way that another pontiac was in the drive through of the Wendys!!! So in my excitement of seeing two Pontiacs in the matter of 5 minutes, and neither were going to a car show, I took off to the Wendys lot and proceeded to snap off a couple of more pics of this other car..... The guy in the car looked at me like I was insane, and proceeded to order his food, and I waited for him to come back around to tell him about my luck...... Thanks Chris for not thinking I was an idiot for snapping pics of your car in the Wendys lot... And once again...Let me know if you are interested in selling any time soon!!!! Thanks Dave

1994 Ford Mondeo 1.8 LX TD Estate- I was coming out of the toilets after visiting the Granada show and this pulled up, it looks like a very nice example, the Estates seem to be the hardest Mk1's to spot and the Hatchbacks the most common which is unsurprising as they made up the vast majority of Mk1 sales

Loaner: 2010 Lexus IS 250- I took mine in for 50,000 mile service, which is basically just an oil change, but there are a couple recalls (fuel line and seat belt assembly) that required parts they didn't have on hand. Basically the same as mine, just four years newer. Main diffs: mirrors are smaller, center dash LCD screen with satnav. I think I like this color better than mine. IMG_2095

Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé- I think I entered all possible ways for the registration number on DVLA but could not get any details. i may be doing something wrong. Anyway, interesting choice for a Phantom, to say the least! The guy to the right saw me taking the pictures and told me -'It's mine! These are the keys to it, do you want them?'- :) I said yes though I'm not sure I want to be seen in a yellow Rolls Royce lol

2013 Asphalt gray Scion FR-S- I test drove the new Scion FR-S today. The asphalt gray color was darker than I expected, which is why it looks almost black in the pictures. It felt a little slow, but it got more exciting over 5000 RPM. The handling was amazing. From the outside, it looks a little bigger than it needs to be, but from the inside, it's not clear what else could be removed. The back seats are literally unusable, because there is no legroom. The manual does say that you can turn the driving assist programs fully off. A lot of cars nowadays claim that you can turn the traction control and stability control off, but those features still kick in the moment things get too squirrelly. I went through the motions of turning them off, but I didn't feel comfortable testing it to make sure it was fully off by doing donuts in a brand-new car that I didn't own... wait, what am I saying? W220 (V12) S63- I should explain why I'm posting such a dreadful picture. This is the original S63, which AMG produced and sold for one month in 2001 to a handful of British and Asian customers. Rather than the 6.2 V-8, it had a 6.3 liter V-12. It is an enormously rare car, and I was stunned to see it.

2013 Aston Martin DB9 coupe- I saw this outside my hotel in Singapore, whilst waiting for a taxi. I saw this car parked outside the hotel and wanted to picture it. I only managed the front view as I wanted to keep an eye out for the taxicab. But I have to say, this car is an eye catcher. I haven't seen one in Australia as the facelift model. I also like the personalised plates on the motor vehicle.

Ferrari 348 Spider- I really liked this one, very nice in this color and convertible form. It had a 2002 plate, too new for it, production ended in 1995. Seen in "La Magdalena" Santander (Cantabria).

1998 Alfa Romeo Spider- I really like the look of these, there's just nothing like them on the road Yes, they've got a unusual design at the rear, but they look great to me!

2007 Chevrolet Corvette C6- I rarely like non-stock parts added on car but this time I must admit I do like these balck wheels on this 'vette. They work really well with the dark blue. Seen in Santander (Cantabria).

1967 Buick Riviera- I photographed this at Twin Rivers some years ago but didn't even get the entire car in shot. What a fabulous beast but with a comparatively small 3.6-litre engine - it has been in NZ since 1970.
