| Description | This jacket was one of several shop jackets given to my partner, Kurt, by his father, Tom, who worked as a general foreman for over 40 years at the River Rouge Steel Plant, owned and operated by the Ford Motor Company. As a car lover, I was pleased to have married into a family with long ties to the auto industry. I love these jackets because they bring together two of my favorite types of design: American cars and logos. Tom Barstow died of lung cancer on 19 October 2009 at the age of 66 in Grosse Ile, Michigan. Resquiat in pacem. |
