This is the Ford Puma Hybrid Rally1; not to be confused with the regular road-going hatchback with a paltry 155bhp. But you wouldn't, would you, because this one has been specially built by legendary British rally engineers M-Sport to compete in the World Rally Championship’s new era of hybrid racing. With its 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine boosted with a battery-powered electric motor, the Puma Hybrid Rally1 produces north of 500bhp. That means 0-60mph in the low 3s on pretty much any surface, as Chris Harris will now demonstrate on some snow.
