🚙Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport Evo

During the first round of the GT2 European Series at Monza Circuit I recorded three GT2 RS Clubsport race cars which seemed to me to have something different from how I was used to remembering them. Two of them were fielded by the Italian team Ebimotors (Martini and Rothmans-inspired liveries) while the third black and fluo orange was entered by Mathey Racing. And indeed a few days after the racing weekend Porsche revealed that a new 'Evo' kit was fitted on all three cars. The 700 hp race car remains mainly unchanged from a mechanical point of view and is still based on the 991-generation 911 GT2 RS road-legal car powered by a 3.8-liter, twin-turbo flat-6 engine. But being one of the first cars of the new GT2 class introduced in 2019, Porsche wanted to give their customers the means to continue competing at the top of the class. The mainly area on which the development work was carried out is certainly the aerodynamic side: fully new front section with modified air intakes for brake cooling, different splitter and front hood to provide appropriate ventilation, new and higher Gurney flap on the rear wing and slightly revised rear bumper. Front and rear fenders have also been widened, creating more space for the new 18-inch redesigned wheels. All these changes are easily noticeable on the Manthey GT2 as they correspond to the fluo orange parts.
