Nico Müller was unstoppable in the first race at the Nürburgring. After showing a very dominant performance with his fifth DTM win of the season, Müller keeps extending the lead. Meanwhile, Rene Rast came in second after a tight fight for the positions behind Müller. Marco Wittmann managed to finish third.
