Today - I’ll fill you in on the origins behind the project, how it differs on a technical basis to the normal RS6 and performance, the three different specs you can get and check every detail inside and out! This isn’t an RS6 built on just a robot projection line: The Final assembly is done by a team of 7 experienced employees at three assembly stations set up especially for this exclusive special edition. Each car takes a day to do, and all GT-specific features are fitted by hand! Even the adjustable coilover suspension! The Idea of this beast started with a Project in 2020, where Audi apprentices were given free rein over an RS6 to create their interpretation of a more extreme version. The result was the Project RS 6 GTO concept! How cool is that that so inspiration for the new Avant GT comes from that very design study?! That team took inspiration from the legendary Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO race car from 1989, so fitting that this final car used homage livery of same. The front matches the GTO Concept with a fully redesigned carbon hood, and we have a whole new lower front end which is much more aggressive with a large lower lip spoiler. RS4 style Integrated air outlets behind the large 22-inch wheels reduce air pressure in the wheel arch and improve brake cooling - and look amazing, these wings are now made of carbon too. Unique 22 inch wheels are based on the Audi Avus concept. Better than those is the HUGE pass through spoiler - taken almost 1:1 from the apprentices’ concept car Car comes in 3 styles. The first with Arkona White finish - the traditional colors of Audi Sport, black, gray, and red. Wheels in high-gloss white. The model badges at the front and rear also come in these colors. Or if you get Mythos black or Nardo grey, you get black wheels or black and polished wheels and black and grey decals! The Performance updates are initially very similar to the RS6 Performance with 850NM. But this builds upon it with 0-60 in 3.3 — the diff on the rear axle has been specially tuned in dynamic mode to be more agile, and more neutral handling and giving a better launch. We also have better handling with heightened steering, dynamics and less understeer — as now for the first time and only for the GT we have adjustable coilover suspension! This Lowers the height by 10mm, gives us A higher spring rate, triple-adjustable dampers and Stiffer stabilizers; 30 percent stiffer at the front and 80 percent at the rear. The interior has the New RS Bucket seats from the RS4 Competition, and the black interior is enhanced by numerous accents in the exclusive color combination of red and copper.
