We're looking at a 2014 SRT Viper Coupe TA / Time Attack (and I'm aware John thought TA meant "Track Attack", however further investigation show the TA stands for "Time Attack".) Motor Trend Magazine set up a race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca between the 2013 SRT Viper GTS and Chevrolet Corvette ZL1. Motor Trend reported the lap time results at race track and the Corvette's time beat the new Viper. Upon hearing the news, and seeing the article, Ralph Gilles, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - SRT Brand and Motorsports, Chrysler Group LLC told the SRT Engineers to build a car specifically to beat the Corvette at the race track. This is that car. This car did improve its lap time at the race track and ended up beating the time of the Corvette ZL1. We're talking with John Gastman, Owner of Roanoke Motor Co, Inc. since 1984.
