| Description | In the sixth DTM race of the season at Zolder, Walkenhorst driver Marco Wittmann managed to finally take home a win again for the first time for almost two years. His victory secured him now position four in the overall standings with 67 points. The two-time champion took advantage of the excellent start in pole position to win the race, while Lucas Auer (Winward-Mercedes) finished in second place. However, Auer would later be penalised with a 5-second penalty to only finish fifth behind Maximilian Götz (HRT-Mercedes), Lim Lawson (AF Corse-Ferrari) und Nico Müller (Rosberg-Audi).
