It’s her third 2002 so far, but this one was always defined as her lifetime car—a keeper—and the license plate tells you all you need to know in that regard: translated from Latin, tesoro means treasure, and after a restoration prompted by some unfortunately clumsy tow-truck maneuvering, that’s exactly what Lisa’s 2002 has become.   • 1972 De Tomaso Pantera: The Company Car Of Our V8 Dreams
    • This week join us as we take a ride in Gary Corcoran’s prized De Tomaso Pantera along the mountain roads overlooking Los Angeles. Back in 1980, Gary was a recent college graduate who just had landed his first professional job. The company’s employees were offered a $250 automobile allowance as a perk after three years of employment—and that presented some opportunities for a young enthusiast. Subsidized rides are a nice benefit to anyone, but especially so for people like Gary. “I looked at a number of Corvettes, and I always loved exotic cars and looked at 246 Dinos,” Gary adds, “I actually came across [the Pantera] at a Ferrari dealership in Newport Beach while driving along Pacific Coast Highway.” Taken aback by the hard-edged and aggressive lines of the then-unknown car; he had to get a closer look to figure out who’d made the thing that caught his eye, and he promptly educated himself on the merits of the Pantera soon afterward. Having built a few American muscle cars back in high school, the Pantera’s Ford-derived 351 Cleveland V8 and ZF gearbox meant Gary could handle maintaining the otherwise exotic mid-engine sports car with ease, and he hasn’t looked back since, stating, “Although I paid the same price—about $20,000—that I could have spent on a 246 Dino, I’ve never regretted the decision, and today the Pantera enjoys a great increase in value and appreciation no matter where I go.” Gary enjoyed his beloved car for years, but as we know, life manages to get in the way sometimes. If wanting fun cars is a disease, then marriage, kids, and career were the vaccines that kept Gary from succumbing to the plans he’d laid out for the Pantera. That’s a dramatic way to put it though, and eventually (after 20 years of ownership and a few thoughts of selling along the way) Gary was able to get some work done to his hibernating Pantera. It began innocently enough. Gary brought his car to Don Byars at Full Throttle Panteras for some fresh paint and a few mechanical odds and ends, but that doesn’t seem to be Don's style, so a full ground-up restoration resulted in the stunning red example shown here. Finally able to thoroughly enjoy—and share this enjoyment with his two lucky sons—this machine, Don knows it was worth waiting for. “It’s really a joy to drive, not as a daily driver, but as a weekend toy it’s hard to beat the Pantera for the looks, the sound, and the handling,” explains Gary, “When I’m gone from this earth, I hope that my sons will continue to enjoy the car as much as I have and that it’ll stay in the family forever.     • This was a very unexpected car, to be honest. At the 2019 Festival of Speed Audi unveiled their new R8 LMS GT2 racer which will take part in the freshly created GT2 Series by SRO Group in 2020. At the moment, only this R8 and the Porsche 991 GT2 RS Clubsport will be the two contenders of this category, but I'm pretty confident more GT2 race cars will be unveiled in the upcoming future. The Audi R8 LMS GT2 is powered by the 5.2-liter V10 engine you can find in the road legal car but a couple of horses have been added (630hp ) and it weights around 1,350 kgs.     • This video is about various Honda NSX GT3s I recorded during some Kateyama test days at Monza Circuit last year. The NSX GT3 has been designed by Honda R&D in Japan in collaboration with JAS Motorsport, an Italian racing team and company which have developed, built and raced cars in various different disciplines for the Japanese manufacturer since 1998. It was unveiled in mid 2017 in order to be fielded by private teams in the various championships around the World from the 2018 seasons. In 2019 a first 'Evo' kit was released, adding new splitters and rear diffusers in order to reduce drag and improve cooling, new turbos for the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 to sharpen throttle response, improved ABS and an upgraded Bosch data-logger. At the end of the 2021 season a new update package was under development to be used from 2022. This package, called Evo22, is mainly focused on mechanical and ''hidden'' upgrades such as new engine intercoolers, to ensure consistency in engine performance in a wider range of conditions, revised spring rates and suspension geometry adjustments, increased fluid tank sizes for endurance racing. The only small visible element introduced with the Evo22 kit is a rectangular FIA-mandated rear-rain light.   • 1965 Cadillac El Dorado - Louisville Showroom - Stock # 1380
    • This sharp looking 1965 Cadillac Eldorado is for sale in our Louisville showroom. The Cadillac Series 62 Eldorado joined the Oldsmobile 98 Fiesta and Buick Roadmaster Skylark as top-of-the-line, limited-production specialty convertibles introduced in 1953 by General Motors to promote its design leadership. For 1965 the Eldorado became a Fleetwood sub-series, although there was strictly speaking no separate Fleetwood series at this time. It was consequently marketed as the Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado, in a similar fashion to the Cadillac Fleetwood Series 75 and the Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special. This was the last generation to be installed with rear wheel drive. This pristine example still has the original 429 V8 engine and Automatic transmission. The owner states this Cadillac only has 58207 miles on it and explains why it is in such good condition and the fact that it had an owner that kept it up. A quick peek under the hood finds everything as it should be, and just reinforces that this is truly a low mileage Cadillac. The factory color “Copper” is a color you didn’t see every day in 1965 and looks to be in very good condition. The white interior with a white top really complements the Copper paint. The carpet is the same color as the paint which is a good thing, as white carpet would have been a bit too much. Pop the trunk, it is just as clean as the rest of the Cadillac, but there is a nice little surprise. A set of sub woofers have been added to put a little extra thump in your tones, while you cruise the boulevard. Options on this 1965 Cadillac Eldorado include; AM/FM Radio with CD player, Power Convertible Top, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Tilt Steering, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Hub Caps and Wide White Walls Radial Tires.     • This is the, deep breath, 2022 Audi R8 Spyder V10 Performance RWD. Which is a long title that means it’s a rear drive supercar with no roof. The R8 is Audi’s staple mid-engined supercar. These days it comes with a V10 engine only, of 5.2 litres, making 562bhp at 7900rpm, and 406lb ft of torque at 6400rpm. Performance is spectacular. The 0-62mph dash takes 3.7sec and the top speed is 204mph. Best of all, perhaps, is that the roof comes off so you can hear the sound better and rather than being 4wd, this version is rear-drive only, which makes the car a bit lighter and its handling more adjustable.   • FIRST LOOK: Mercedes-AMG One - 1063hp Hypercar With F1 Engine Is FINALLY Finished! | Top Gear
    • This is the really very final production version of the 1,000bhp+ Mercedes-AMG One. That’s right, on AMG’s 55th anniversary comes the long-awaited hyper-F1 car for the road. Not a figure of speech, but a fact, because the AMG One famously uses the 1.6-litre turbo hybrid V6 from Hamilton’s F1 car. Well, when Hamilton’s F1 car was fast. AMG worked closely with the F1 bods at Brixworth to build a turbocharged combustion engine with four electric motors: one on the turbo, another on the engine and two driving the front wheels, each able to spin up to 50,000rpm. The whipcrack quick V6 is mounted in the middle, and revs to 11,000rpm – a little shy of Murray’s T.50 and the Aston Martin Valkyrie, but still. Eleven thousand. More F1 tech arrives in the shape of the MGU-K, which harvests surplus exhaust gas energy and stores it in the battery or feeds it straight into the electrified front axle. With everything singing together – MGU-K, MGU-H, front axle motors and engine – the whole thing punches out 1,048bhp. Hilariously, AMG can’t tell us the torque figure because of the “complex drivetrain”. That’s right, the One is too complex for human minds. Estimated performance figures are as follows: 0-62mph in 2.9s, 0-124mph in 7.0s, 0-186mph in 15.6s and a top speed of 219mph. On the other end of the scale, it’s capable of just over 11 miles on battery power alone, while combined emissions stand at 198g/km. And how does this 1,695kg monster look? ‘Muscular’ is how AMG describes it, and there’s no denying its presence. Low, wide with a ‘wasp’ waist designed for optimum aero efficiency, it’s said to generate downforce from as little as 31mph. Which should make the drive to your weekly shop very entertaining. It’s been a long time coming, but has the wait been worth it?
