During this walk around that includes the performance, price, interior and exterior first look, the guys discover the DBX is an incredibly important car for Aston Martin and is the fourth car of transformational Second Century Plan. It’s the first time Aston Martin have ever produced a SUV for the 106-year-old luxury British marque. The new 2020 DBX has a one of the most broadest design briefs of any Aston Martin in history and promises to offer a broad range of capability from sportscar dynamics to off-road versatility. DBX is on sale now, with first deliveries scheduled to begin Q2 2020 and the new Aston Martin DBX has a recommended retail price starting from: £158,000* in the UK (*includes 3 year’s servicing) €193,500 in Germany $189,900 in USA Through a development programme that began with physical testing in Wales last year and virtual development stretching back to 2015, DBX signals a new era in Aston Martin’s pursuit to deliver exceptional performance, style and usability in a segment previously unexplored by the world-famous manufacturer. Bringing both the versatility and indulgence expected of a luxury SUV with sports car levels of dynamic performance, DBX sets a bold new standard in this sector.   Set to be built in Aston Martin’s purpose-built manufacturing facility in St Athan, Wales, the foundation of DBX is a new dedicated SUV platform.   Adaptive triple volume air suspension has been combined with the latest 48v electric anti-roll control system (eARC) and electronic adaptive dampers to provide the new SUV with a huge breadth of ability. With its capacity to raise the ride height by 45mm or lower it by 50mm the air suspension gives any driver the confidence to tackle a wide range of terrain. While this of course provides benefits while on the move, the system can be further programmed to aid with ingress, egress and loading requirements, aiding on a practical level.   Powered by a new version of the characterful 4-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine found in DB11 and Vantage, DBX features an impressive output of 550PS and 700NM of torque, carefully tuned to meet the specific needs of this model. With a sound character that is unquestionably Aston Martin, the active exhaust system ensures this is a luxury SUV that can sound refined one moment and exhilarating the next. The engine’s versatility isn’t restricted to its vocals either; the turbocharged V8 has cylinder deactivation to enhance fuel economy, yet it can also propel DBX from 0 to 62mph in 4.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 181mph.   Aston Martin’s first ever full-size 5-seat model is not only exceptionally versatile in terms of the terrain that it can tackle, it is also extremely adaptable to a wide variety of lifestyle needs and owners. Designed to accommodate the world’s 99th percentile male and 5th percentile female, DBX has been very deliberately created with instant familiarity and ease of use from the start.    Apple CarPlay comes as standard, as does a 360-degree camera system and ambient lighting that offers 64 different colours in two zones.   Aston Martin intended to expand the sales reach of the brand worldwide with their new SUV, the DBX, will be built in Britain at the new manufacturing plant in St Athan, Wales. Review Info: 2015 Lexus RC350 3.5L V6 306 hp / 277 lb-ft MPG: 19 city/26 highway 0-60: 6.0 seconds (5.8 - RWD) The first thing you notice about the all new Lexus RC350 is the aggressive styling. The front of the car displays the signature spindle grill and LED lights, while the body is a series of complex intersecting curves and creases. Opt for the F sport model and a the RC becomes more attractive all around. The first fixed roof coupe Lexus has had in 15 years, the RC promises to deliver excellent looks, performance and luxury. The RC350 comes with a 3.5L V6 producing 306 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque. This is the familiar lexus v6 that can be found in other models such as the IS350 and propels the RC to 60 in 5.8 seconds. Power is delivered to the rear wheels with an 8 speed automatic for the RWD variant and a 6 speed for the AWD model. Unfortunately there is no option for a manual transmission. The AWD model here uses a chain-driven center differential that has a default 30/70 front/rear power split. It is able to distribute up to a 50/50 split in the event that there is a loss of traction. The downside of having the AWD system is the added weight, at nearly 3900 lbs, the RC weighs several hundred pounds more than the 435i and ATS Coupe. However Fuel economy comes out to a respectable 19mpg city and 26 mpg highway. Unlike some other sports coupes on the market, the RC is not just an IS with two doors removed. The chassis and suspension components are actually a blend of the GS, IS Sedan and IS Convertible. Moving to the F-sport model, you get larger wheels and brakes, as well as adaptive suspension and variable ratio steering. To control the navigation and infotainment system, the RC features the new Remote Touchpad. Similar to the touchpad on a laptop, it supports wipe, flick and pinch gestures and also provides pulsation feedback. A 10 speaker, 265 watt sound system comes as standard but you can upgrade to an unbelievable 17 speaker 835 watt Mark Levinson sound system.

This car is probably used for testing out the components, as i feutures unfinished body panels and it doen't have any kind of protective wrap for the paint. The Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 is a mid-engine hybrid-electric sports car produced by the Italian automotive manufacturer Lamborghini. Unveiled on 14 August 2021, the car is named after the original Countach which was first introduced 50 years prior. Based on the Sián FKP 37, 112 units are planned to be produced, the number referencing the LP 112 model designation used during development of the original Countach. The Countach LPI 800-4 shares its underpinnings and mechanicals with the Sián FKP 37 which was unveiled in 2019. It utilizes the same carbon-fiber monocoque along with the same mild hybrid powertrain with a slightly decreased combined output of 599 kW (814 PS; 803 hp) powering all four wheels.[6] It is a combination of the longitudinally positioned (LP) naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine which in this case produces 574 kW (780 PS; 770 hp), along with a 48-volt electric motor producing an additional 25 kW (34 PS; 34 hp) which is located inside the 7-speed automated manual transmission. Energy from the regenerative braking system is stored in a supercapacitor which is lighter than a traditional lithium-ion battery. The dry weight is 1,595 kg (3,516 lb), with the percentage split 43-57 front-to-rear. Lamborghini claimed the car is capable of 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) acceleration in 2.8 seconds, 0–200 km/h (0–124 mph) in 8.6 seconds and a top speed of 355 km/h (221 mph) Deliveries are due to start in early 2022. Mat’s got his hands on this all-new sports car to see if it can compete with class-leading competitors like the Porsche Cayman GTS. So naturally, with it being a sports car, we need to check out the performance. The Emira will come with two engine choices, and the one we have here is a 3.5-litre supercharged V6 that’s produced by Toyota and is good for 400hp and 420Nm of torque. It powers the rear wheels along with a 6-speed manual gearbox and is good for a top speed of 180mph. Later on this year, you’ll also be able to get your hands on an Emira powered by the same engine you’ll find in the AMG A45 S - a 2-litre turbocharged 4 cylinder! However, Mercedes has turned down the power output on it, so as a result it only produces 360hp & 430Nm. However, although it’s still RWD, it’ll also roll up with an automatic gearbox! Elsewhere, there’s no denying that the Emira is a really classy car. From the outside, it looks super-sleek and is covered with vents (and they all serve a purpose!), and it even comes with real exhaust tips at the back! And once you step inside, the interior quality can easily match what you’ll find in a Porsche, with leather & high-quality materials throughout, along with a good-sized infotainment screen. The starting price is just £60,000, so surely this is the must-have sports car of 2022, right?! You’ll have to stick with Mat to see for yourself!     • Lotus Elise Cup 250 - Cold Start & Revs, Full In-depth Interior and Exterior Walkaround. The Lotus Elise is a two-seat, rear-wheel drive, mid-engined roadster conceived in early 1994 and released in September 1996 by the British manufacturer Lotus Cars. The Elise has a fibreglass body shell atop its bonded extruded aluminium chassis that provides a rigid platform for the suspension, while keeping weight and production costs to a minimum. It is capable of speeds up to 240 km/h (150 mph). The Elise was named after Elisa, the granddaughter of Romano Artioli who was chairman of Lotus and Bugatti at the time of the car's launch. In February 2010, Lotus unveiled a facelifted version of the second generation Elise. The new headlights are now single units; triangular in shape they are somewhat larger than the earlier lights. The cheapest version in Europe had a 1.6 litre engine to comply with Euro 5 emissions, with the same power output as the earlier 1.8 136 PS (100 kW; 134 hp). The 1.8 litre Elise comes standard with a Magnuson R900 supercharger making 220 PS (162 kW; 217 hp). The 1.6 litre version was discontinued in 2018. The 2011 model was the last offered for street legal sale in the United States when the waiver from the United States Government's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for Lotus to build and sell cars in the US without smart airbags expired in August 2011. It was also the only Elise to use the Toyota 2ZZ-GE engine in the 2011 model year. At the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Lotus revealed a high performance version of the Elise called the Cup 220. The Cup 220 is a more track focused and hardcore version of the standard Elise. It has the following specifications according to a 2015 Top Gear road test: Engine: 1.8 litre supercharged Toyota 2ZR-FE Inline-4 Transmission: 6-speed Toyota EC60 manual with sport ratios Power: 217 bhp (162 kW; 220 PS) at 6800 rpm Torque: 250 N⋅m (184 lb⋅ft) at 4600 rpm Acceleration: 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.2 seconds Top speed: 140 mph (225 km/h) Weight: 932 kg (2,055 lb) (dry weight) Downforce: 125 kg (276 lb) at 140 mph (225 km/h) At the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Lotus revealed the high performance version of the Elise called the Cup 250. The Cup 250 is a more track focused and hardcore version of the standard Elise. It has the following specifications according to Lotus: Engine: 1.8 litre supercharged Toyota 2ZR-FE Inline-4 Transmission: 6-speed Toyota EC60 manual with sport ratios Power: 243 bhp (181 kW; 246 PS) at 7200 rpm Torque: 250 N⋅m (184 lb⋅ft) at 5500 rpm Acceleration: 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.9 seconds Top speed: 154 mph (248 km/h) Weight: 884 kg (1,949 lb) (dry weight) Downforce: 125 kg (276 lb) at 140 mph (225 km/h) In October 2017, Lotus unveiled a hardcore version of the Elise called the Elise cup 260. It is inspired by the two hardcore variants of the Evora and Exige line up, the sport 380 and the GT430 respectively. It features the double taillight units and rear wing from the Exige Sport 380 and the Lotus 3-Eleven respectively. Power has also been uprated and is now 250 hp (186 kW; 253 PS) thanks to a revised supercharger. Other changes include increased top speed, acceleration, low weight and high downforce due to added aero elements. The Elise Cup 260 has the following specifications according to Lotus: Engine: 1.8 litre supercharged Toyota 2ZR-FE Inline-4 Transmission: 6-speed Toyota EC60 manual with sport ratios Power: 250 bhp (186 kW; 253 PS) at 7200 rpm Torque: 265 N⋅m (195 lb⋅ft) at 5500 rpm Acceleration: 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.8 seconds Top speed: 151 mph (243 km/h) Weight: 862 kg (1,900 lb) (dry weight) Downforce: 180 kg (397 lb) at 151 mph (243 km/h) In March 2017, Lotus announced the special edition 'Sprint' models of the Elise. For the Elise Sprint, Lotus used several weight-saving techniques to cut the car's weight down to 798 kg (1,759 lb). To achieve the 40kg weight saving, some body parts are made in carbon, as well as the seats. The backlight glass is made of polycarbonate, and the lightweight battery is a Lithium-ion model. Wheels are the usual size, but forged instead of cast alloy. The Sprint can be had with either a 1.6-litre naturally aspirated engine, or a 1.8-litre supercharged engine, available for the Sprint 220 version. The former has a 0-60 mph (97 km/h) time of 5.9 seconds, while the Sprint 220 can accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.1 seconds. Dampers are uprated, as on the Elise Cup models. The series 3 Lotus Elise first appeared as a design study alongside the Lotus Esprit concept at the 2010 Paris Motor Show as the "Lotus Elise Concept" in the autumn of that year, and was set to be launched within the next couple of years. The car was heavier than the production model of that time, and had a considerably more powerful 2.0-litre inline-4 engine. The production model was then unveiled with many changes, including the downsizing of the engine to 1.6 litre and 1.8 litre (supercharged).

The Lotus Exige /ɛɡˈziːʒ/ is a British two-door, two-seat sports car made by Lotus Cars since 2000. Originally a more-hardcore coupé version of the Lotus Elise roadster, since the Series 3 the Exige has been the larger-engined model of the family - using a V6 engine in place of the Elise's straight 4 with convertible versions of both available. At the Frankfurt 2011 autoshow, the 2012 version of the Exige S was announced. It includes a supercharged 3.5 litre V6 engine (from the Evora S) rated at 345 hp (257 kW; 350 PS). In 2013 a roadster version was introduced with only minor changes to the design for the removable top. The engine and performance were virtually unchanged from the coupe and the price for both the roadster and the coupe were the same. To accommodate the V6 engine, the new model is approximately 25 cm (9.8 inches) longer and 5 cm (2.0 in) wider (exterior bodywise) than the model with the inline-four engine, being 4,052 mm (159.5 inches) long, 1,802 mm (70.9 in) wide (not counting the mirrors) and 1,153 mm (45.4 in) tall. The drag coefficient is 0.433. The Exige V6 Cup is a track oriented version of the Exige S while the Exige CupR is the track-only version of Exige V6 Cup. The Exige V6 Cup is offered for sale in the United States as a track only car. If purchased, US Lotus Dealers will only provide a bill of sale instead of a title. The vehicles were unveiled at the 2013 Autosport International motor show. Limited to 50 examples, Lotus Exige 360 Cup was revealed on 14 August 2015. The car is powered by a 3.5-litre supercharged Toyota V6 delivering 355 hp (360 PS; 265 kW) . The Lotus Exige Sport 380 is a track focused and more powerful version of the Lotus Exige lineup. It was unveiled on 23 November 2016. Lotus' CEO, Jean-Marc Gales describes it as, "The Exige Sport 380 is so good, that it is no longer the best in class, it’s now in a class of its own", and it fulfills this statement by taking on some of the powerful and expensive super cars both on the track and the streets. The 3.5-litre, super-charged V6 engine is now uprated and produces 375 hp (380 PS; 280 kW) and 410 N⋅m (302 lb⋅ft) of torque with a 6500 rpm red line achieved by revised supercharger and ECU. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 178 mph (286 km/h). The interior is also stripped out and features necessary driver aids. The Exige Sport 380 weighs 1,076 kg (2,372 lb), thanks to the extensive use of carbon fibre on the exterior as well as the interior, the application of polycarbonate windows instead of traditional glass windows and a newly designed rear transom panel which features two rear lights instead of four. The Lotus Exige Cup 380 is a more hardcore variant of the Exige Sport 380. Performance of the car remains the same as the Sport 380 but it features more aero components and a larger rear wing to produce more downforce at high speeds. The Exige Cup 380 generates 200 kg (441 lb) of downforce at its maximum speed of 175 mph (282 km/h); the top speed is reduced due to excess downforce and more drag. It features a more stripped out interior in order to save weight and other light weight carbon fibre components, Lotus states a lowest possible dry weight of only 1,057 kg (2,330 lb). On 9 November 2017, Lotus unveiled the most powerful version of the Exige to date called the Exige Cup 430, producing 430 PS (424 hp; 316 kW) and using the Evora GT430's powertrain, modified to fit in the smaller Exige. The car body can produce 220 kg (485 lb) of downforce. The Cup 430 is 19 kg (42 lb) lighter than the Sport 380 due to the use of carbon fibre in body panels and interior and a titanium exhaust. The gearbox allows quicker gearshifts than the previous model. The Cup 430 is not offered with an automatic gearbox. The Lotus Exige Cup 430 is capable of covering the Hethel circuit in 1 minute 24.8 seconds – the fastest production car to lap the circuit – 1.2 seconds faster than the road going Lotus 3-Eleven. Several Exiges are currently in use in the SCCA Pro Racing World Challenge. An Exige GT3 and some CUP Exige race in the Supercar Challenge. An Exige has participated in the GT300 class of the 2005 Super GT Series season. Simply Sports Cars in Australia ran an Exige Cup R in endurance racing during 2014 and 2015 at the world renowned Bathurst 12 Hour, with class wins on both occasions.
