French rally drivers have dominated 8 times with Sébastien Ogier, and 9 times with Sébastien Loeb. Famous motorsport drivers have attempted WRC like Robert Kubica and Kimi Räikkönen from F1 and Ken Block from Rallycross. Car companies compete for the prestigious FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers. The 1980's featured the iconic Group B rally cars like the Lancia 037 and Delta S4, Peugeot 205 T16, MG Metro 6R4, Ford RS200 and Audi Quattro. Japan dominated the 1990s with the Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, and Toyota Celica and Toyota Corolla. Citroen and Volkswagen became champions in the 2000s along with M-Sport team using the Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta. Toyota returned to the WRC in 2017 with the Toyota Yaris WRC, winning in 2018 and 2021. Hyundai won in 2019 and 2020 with the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC.     • With a new hard-edged Handling Speciale pack fitted to the California T we recently had at our disposal in beautiful Italy, we wanted to find out if the most affordable model from the iconic Italian brand - now with even better road manners - was actually any good. The pre-facelift Ferrari California was a car that, for Ferrari, represented a bold move away from what buyers had known. It was the first front-engined Ferrari with a V8, the first with a seven-speed dual-clutch, the first with a metal folding roof. And when the Italian maker updated the car late in 2015, it became the California T, as it was now known, became the first car from the brand with a turbocharged engine since the F40 from the 1980s and ‘90s. Under the bonnet lies a 3.9-litre bi-turbo V8 that produces 412kW of power and 755Nm of torque. As you’d expect by adding turbos, there’s more power in the new engine than there was in the existing V8 non-turbo model. The California T Handling Speciale includes a revised exhaust that’s designed to make it sound better at higher revs. From the driver’s seat the exhaust note is alive and well, even with windows up when the lid is lowered. But it gets even better when you’re banging through the gears, because the seven-speed F1 (as Ferrari calls it) dual-clutch transmission is without doubt one of the fastest shifting transmissions in the business. But if you're not in Italy driving some of the best roads in the world, just leave it in auto and it will do it for you. And I reckon it’s one of the most intuitive transmissions, too, despite the fact in auto mode – and with Comfort mode selected on the mannetino dial, it can have a tendency to aim for the highest gear to help save fuel. It may be seen as more of a GT car, but let’s be honest – any hard-top convertible that can seat four people – yet still be capable of hitting 100km/h in just 3.6 seconds, and that has a top speed of 316km/h, is well and truly pushing into supercar territory. Braking from 100-0 km/h is mastered in 31.5 m. Like the Performante coupé, the Spyder outputs 640 hp (470 kW) at 8,000 rpm, producing 600 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, and with more than 70% of torque already available at 1,000 rpm.     • With the Thunderbird considered a success, few changes were made to the car for 1956. The most notable change was moving the spare tire to a continental-style rear bumper in order to make more storage room in the trunk, and an optional porthole in the removable roof was offered and often selected by buyers. However, the addition of the weight at the rear caused steering issues. Among the few other changes were new paint colors, the addition of circular porthole windows as standard in the fiberglass roof to improve rearward visibility, and a 312 cu in (5.1 L) Y-block V8 making 215 horsepower (160 kW) when mated to a 3-speed manual transmission or 225 horsepower (168 kW) when mated to a Ford-O-Matic 2-speed automatic transmission; this transmission featured a "low gear", which was accessible only via the gear selector.   • Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo 2020 OnBoard, Warm Up & Sound at Monza Circuit!
    • With this video you can jump on board the Krypton Motorsport's Mercedes-AMG GT3 driven by Stefano Pezzucchi, race driver and Krypton team principal, during the 3rd round of the Campionato Italiano GT Sprint (Italian GT Spring Championship) at Monza Circuit. This is not the first time I put my GoPro when Stefano is behind the wheel and you probably remember his ultraviolet Porsche 991 GT3 RS Mk1 in action at both Misano and Monza race tracks. So glad to have had this opportunity recording one of the AMG GT3 cars featuring the new 'Evo 2020' kit, recognizable by the different front, due to the bigger and angry mouth, and rear with a new diffuser and side openings. Headlights have been upgraded to the current style of the AMG GT road car too. I put my GoPro during the second free practice session (actually the first dry one of the day) but I didn't manage to get much footage due to a long red flag period happened at the beginning of the session which forced Stefano to do only 5 laps. Being out on track, I didn't manage to turn off my GoPro so when the session restarted, the Hero 4 had already run out of battery and therefore it didn't capture better laps. External footage is from the humid FP1 (first chicane) and FP2 (Ascari corner). Hope you like it!   • 16 year old driving one-off Ferrari SP 275 RW Competizione
    • Wrapping up at Cavallino a few weeks ago I was checking out the latest one-off creation by Ferrari based on the F12 TDF chassis when a younger kid walked up to the car, unlocked it, and drove off in it. The car is inspired by the car that won the GT category at the 1965 LeMans 24 hour race which is a 275 GTB Competizione Speciale which is also a one off creation and rumored to be the most valuable car in the world. I'm sure being built by Ferrari's Special Project division this new car easily cost a couple million dollars. It looks amazing in person as well!
