More Cars is designed as an open car database. All the information is contributed by the community and can be used by everyone, for any purpose, for free.
The goal is to a) create a comprehensive car database and to b) connect as much car related information as possible.
Then it is possible to answer questions like these:
"Which brands belong to the VW Group? Which to Stellantis?"
"I am interested in a Toyota Corolla. Which versions were made? Which got the best reviews?"
"What were the most successful cars on the race track?"
Some of the car photos you find here are our own pictures. They are taken at car shows, racing events or museum visits. You can find the whole collection (650+) on Flickr. Each photo is under Creative Commons license - meaning, you can use them for free, for anything you want, as long as you give proper credit.
On our YouTube channel, you can find a bunch of sim racing videos (50+) from different sim racing games. Each video is under Creative Commons license - meaning, you can use them for free, for anything you want, as long as you give proper credit.
If you are on the search for more car related videos have a look at the YouTube creators we follow. The list contains ~300 free channels, covering car reviews, motorsport, sim racing, car design, tuning, car spotting and much more.
At the moment there are 2582 car models in the More Cars database. The production numbers of 757 of them are known. They sum up to a total of
316,778,544
produced cars.
This leads to an average of 418,466 built units per car model.
