1971 Toyota Corolla E20 Coupe- Toyota started producing automobiles in 1933. Toyota's small car, the Corolla was introduced in 1966, built over twelve generations, one of the best selling cars in the world. This is a car from the 1970-74 E-20 second generation. It got better front suspension and more coke bottle like styling. Available in 2 or 4 door sedan and wagon. Trim levels were Standard, Deluxe and Hi-Deluxe. The coupe was available in Deluxe, SL, SR, and Levin This second generation Corolla saw two facelifts, one in 1971, vertical bar grille went to eggcrate and another facelift in 1972, the grille was larger eggcrate and pointed in the centre, indicators relocated Toyota Australia manufactured Toyotas from 1963 until 2017, the Toyota Corolla from 1968-1999 at Australian Motor Industries (AMI) in Port Melbourne, then from 1994 at Altona. Toyota New Zealand also manufactured Toyotas from 1967-1998. The Corolla was assembled in New Zealand at Steel Motor Assemblies in Christchurch and Campbell Motor Industries in Thames. 1969 Toyota E-11 Corolla 2 door Sedan- Toyota started producing automobiles in 1933. Toyota's small car, the Corolla was introduced in 1966, built over twelve generations, one of the best selling cars in the world. This is a car from the 1966-70 E-10 first generation. The Corolla featured bucket seats and floor shift. It was originally available in E-10 2 or 4 door sedan, E-15 2 door Coupe and E-16 2 door wagon with the 1077cc 4 cyl. The sportier variant, the fastback Sprinter was also sold in Japan. In 1969 the facelifted model got a central divider in the grille, models now were the E-11 2 or 4 door sedan, E-17 2 door Coupe and E-18 2 door wagon with the 1166cc 4 cyl. (1200 badge) Toyota Australia manufactured Toyotas from 1963 until 2017, the Toyota Corolla from 1968-1999 at Australian Motor Industries (AMI) in Port Melbourne, then from 1994 at Altona. The second generation was the A60 built from 1981-86 The new model featured pop up headlights and was available in either the P type (performance) with wider wheels and fibreglass flares, or L type (Luxury) with leather interior and digital dash. (no L types were offered in Australia) 1984 saw a mild facelift, front turn signals now wrapped around the side. Engine; 178hp 2759cc 6 cyl

Turbocharged version of the new 2965cc 6 cyl added in 1987 (now 231hp) 1989 saw a facelift with changes to lower grille, mirrors, foglights and interior

The Supra was derived from the Celica, originally called the Celica XX in Japan, the first four generations got a 6 cyl engine (standard Celicas were 4 cyl) The Supra was built from 1978-2002, from 1986 the Celica name was dropped, now just Toyota Supra. The first generation of the Supra was based largely upon the Toyota Celica liftback, but was longer by 129.5 mm. The doors and rear section were shared with the Celica but the front panels were elongated to accommodate the 6 cyl instead of the Celica's 4 cyl engine. Toyota's original plan for the Supra was to make it a competitor to the very popular Datsun Z-car. In 1979 the rear view mirrors were redesigned and alloy wheels replaced steel In 1980 engine displacement was increased to 2759cc (before was 2563cc)
