Based on a shortened DB7 platform, the Zagato employed the 435bhp V12 powerplant mated to a short-throw 6 speed manual transmission. The distinctive styling, including Zagato’s trademarked “double-bubble” roof, evoked strong memories of the iconic DB4 GT Zagato from the 1960s, not to mention the stunning driveline from the most focused DB7 built, the GT, ensuring that the orderbook for all 99 cars was quickly fulfilled. Bodied mostly in aluminium by Carrozzeria Zagato in Italy, the car was almost 60kg lighter than the standard DB7 GT giving it a suitably enhanced turn of speed over its mechanically similar stablemate. This particular example is car number 82 of the 99 which is finished in Ferrari Nero Daytona Black with Charcoal semi aniline hides. Complete with its numbered car cover, interior trim protection covers, model of car and build book unique to the car, this Zagato has a comprehensive service history from Aston Martin main agents and respected marque specialists from new. Having covered just 16,800 miles from new, this sublime Anglo-Italian thoroughbred is a significant part of the marque’s history and has proved to be a fast-appreciating model within the legions of Aston Martin sports GT cars. The Mercedes-Benz 190SL is a two-door grand touring convertible with an optional removable hardtop that was produced by Mercedes-Benz between May 1955 and February 1963. A prototype was first shown at the 1954 New York Auto Show. The 190SL was sold alongside the faster, more expensive Mercedes-Benz 300SL, which it closely resembled both in its styling, engineering, detailing and fully independent suspension, both cars having double wishbone suspensions at the front and swing axles at the rear. However, the 190SL did not use the 300SL's purpose-built tubular spaceframe W198 platform, but was built on a shortened and monocoque R121 platform that modified from the W121 small saloon.[2] The 190SL was powered by a new, slightly oversquare 1.9 L straight-four SOHC engine (Type M121 BII), that developed 105 PS (77 kW; 104 hp) (or 120 gross hp) that earned itself a reputation for not running that smoothly[3] mostly due to the difficulty in properly synchronising the twin-choke dual Solex carburetors, and that, in detuned form, was later also used in the W120 180 and W121 190 models. The four-cylinder engine block of the 190SL was based on the six-cylinder engine of the 300 SL.[4] The 85 mm bore was transferred unchanged from the larger engine to the smaller, although the stroke for the 190 SL was reduced from 88.0 mm to 83.6 mm.[4] The car was available either as a soft-top convertible (initially priced at DM 16,500/US$ 3,998[5]) or with removable hardtop (DM 17,650/$ 4,295). Optional was a third-passenger transverse seat that could even fit an adult. During its first years the 190SL was available as a sports-racing model with small perspex windscreen and spartan one-piece leather covered bucket seats and aluminum doors, although any competition aspirations were modest. In 1959, the hardtop's rear window was enlarged. Both the 190SL and the 300SL were replaced by the Mercedes-Benz 230SL in 1963.

The Monteverdi High Speed was a grand tourer automobile built by Monteverdi in Basel, Switzerland from 1967 to 1970. Contemporary rivals included the British Jensen Interceptor (which was also powered by a Chrysler V8). This car was designed by the Italian design house Frua and was actually built by Fissore of Italy from 1969. They redesigned the car in 1972 and again in 1975. The convertible version of the High Speed 375 was known as the Palm Beach. The car had a 7,206 cc Chrysler V-8 engine that developed 380 to 402 bhp.

The crew at Manns Restoration just finished some repairs on the car and it was time for a good road test. The 550 is powered by 65 degree V12 with four valves per cylinder, that cranks out around 480 horsepower. It will power the car to a top speed of right at 200 mph and it makes some glorious noises while doing so. This is an amazing touring car, that flies through sweeping curves with ease. Watch the best rally drivers flat out on gravel and asphalt roads with mud, rain, dust, ice and heat. Power slides, drifts, big jumps, watersplashes, handbrake turns, hairpin bends, lucky escapes, big moments or a massive crash. Rally requires maximum attack and careful tactics to become world rally champion. Rally drivers take turns to complete closed road "special stages" as quickly as possible, setting off a few minutes apart. A co-driver reads pace notes to describe the hazards ahead. The same rally car is used to travel to each stage on public roads following normal traffic regulations. The crew which completes all the stages in the shortest time is the rally winner. WRC is administered by the FIA Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile FIA, motorsport's world governing body. Some of the world's greatest drivers have won the FIA World Rally Championship for Drivers : Colin McRae, Carlos Sainz, Walter Röhrl, Stig Blomqvist, Petter Solberg, Ott Tänak. Champions from Finland are Juha Kankkunen, Tommi Mäkinen, Ari Vatanen, Marcus Grönholm and Hannu Mikkola. French rally drivers have dominated 8 times with Sébastien Ogier, and 9 times with Sébastien Loeb. Famous motorsport drivers have attempted WRC like Robert Kubica and Kimi Räikkönen from F1 and Ken Block from Rallycross. Car companies compete for the prestigious FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers. The 1980's featured the iconic Group B rally cars like the Lancia 037 and Delta S4, Peugeot 205 T16, MG Metro 6R4, Ford RS200 and Audi Quattro. Japan dominated the 1990s with the Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, and Toyota Celica and Toyota Corolla. Citroen and Volkswagen became champions in the 2000s along with M-Sport team using the Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta.
