    • On our way to Stockholm we stopped off to visit the Koenigsegg factory in Angelholm, Sweden. While there I was able to take a look at and a test drive in this fantastic, orange CCXR. There's no question the CCXR is loaded with drama, it makes an immense sound as it launches you forward. On the short 1.3km runway I was reaching 270km/h with huge amounts of stopping space to spare.     • On the 24th of August 2018 at the exclusive automotive event “The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering“ in Monterey, California, Bugatti presented its latest model as a world premiere. With the Divo, the French luxury brand has developed a super sports car tuned for agility, nimbleness and optimum handling performance on winding roads. The aerodynamics of the model have been intensively fine-tuned and the suspension and chassis settings have been modified. As a result, the Divo is 35 kilograms (77 lbs) lighter and has 90 kilograms (198 lbs) more downforce than the Chiron. The lateral acceleration of the Divo has been boosted to 1.6g. The series of 40 vehicles with a net price of €5 million each was sold out immediately. In 2010 the aerobatic season of the Frecce Tricolori comes to its 50th anniversary, wich will be celebrated on 11th and 12th September at Rivolto Airport (info: www.aeronautica.difesa.it). The Frecce Tricolori (Italian, literally Tricolour Arrows), officially known as the 313th Aerobatic Training Squadron is the demonstration team of the Italian Air Force, based at Rivolto Air Force Base, in the north-eastern Italian region of Friuli Venezia-Giulia, province of Udine. They were formed in 1961 as an Air Force team, replacing previous teams that had been sponsored by various commands by the end of the 1920s. The team flies the Aermacchi MB-339-A/PAN, a two-seat aircraft capable of 898 km/h at sea level, with nine aircraft and a solo (the highest number of aircraft of any aerobatic team in the world). The Frecce Tricolori belong to the legacy of the entire italian community. -------------------------------------------- In occasione della Celebrazione del 50° Anniversario delle Frecce Tricolori, la Pagani Automobili ha creato la Zonda Tricolore, come tributo alla Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale. The GT90 was the predecessor to the now wildly popular Ford GT platform. When we asked the owner about an approximate value of the GT90 he said it's PRICELESS, but he was offered $8million for it, which he turned down.   • The Secret Koenigsegg You’ve Never Heard Of…
    • Once upon a time, a man called Christian created a car company called Koenigsegg. To prove his new cars were the best, he wanted to take them racing. Specifically at the 24 Hours of Le Mans – and so he designed his road cars to mirror FIA GT1 regulations. In parallel, he developed a racing car too, taking his optimised road car as the basis and readying it for battle at the world’s greatest endurance race. But, sadly, before it could turn a wheel in anger, the rules changed as homologation production numbers for the GT1 class jumped from 20 cars over several years to 350 per year, putting an end to Koenigsegg’s Le Mans ambitions. The project was mothballed, and the car sold to a Koenigsegg shareholder. However, the one-off CCGT prototype was auctioned in the summer of 2023 (for £3.3m. Imagine if it had raced at Le Mans…) and has been back to Christian and co for some restoration work.     • One of my personal highlights of the 19th edition of the RallyLegend was for sure the presence of this amazing Audi Pikes Peak monster. Well, I assume it was the same for many other spectators. The car is an absolutely marvellous replica of the 1987 ex-Walter Röhrl's Sport quattro E2 Pikes Peak built by the Dutch company Audi Sport Veghel (if I understood correctly) and it has been around for some years now. As for the original one, the car is moved by a 2.1-litre 5-cylinder turbocharged engine.
