Mat’s flown over to Spain to dive deep and see if this British beast has the soul of a racer or the manners of a road car. So let’s take a closer look, starting with the exterior design… From the outside, there’s no denying that the Valhalla is a masterclass in aerodynamics. At the front, you’ll find huge vents that actually expose the car’s suspension, giving it a proper race car feel. The sides are dominated by aggressive strakes and complex aero channels that guide air toward that massive roof scoop. At the back, things get even wilder with twin top-exit exhaust pipes, a gargantuan rear diffuser, and an active wing that keeps the car glued to the tarmac. Step inside, and the Valhalla has a proper hypercar feel. There’s a pair of carbon fibre bucket seats, and these are surrounded by more carbon fibre as well as high-quality materials throughout. There are two screens - a digital driver’s display and an infotainment screen. The software is relatively basic, but then again, that’s in keeping with most other hypercars. If you’re looking for storage, though, you’ll need to pack light! There’s no boot or glovebox, and only minimal storage within the cabin! Under the skin lies a serious powertrain. The Valhalla uses an AMG-derived 4-litre twin-turbo V8, but Aston has gone to town on it with new pistons, camshafts, and significantly larger turbos. There are also two electric motors - both positioned on either side of the front axel, to offer Four Wheel Drive. The engine and motors combined deliver a staggering 1080hp and 1100Nm of torque, along with a claimed 0-60mph time of 2.5 seconds. Exclusivity like this doesn't come cheap. The Aston Martin Valhalla starts at approximately £800,000, though once you start playing with the options list, most owners will be looking at a final bill closer to £1,000,000.   • Manual Gearboxes Are Back! Aston Martin Valour vs Porsche 911 S/T
    • EVs and ever-stricter emissions regulations mean the manual gearbox is becoming rarer – and yet there is also a bit of a renaissance occurring. The £2.8m GMA T.50 is only available with a manual gearbox, the £2.2m Pagani Utopia can be had with two or three pedals (with most owners opting for the latter) and at the other end of the scale, Toyota is testing a manual gearbox for electric vehicles. In-between (though still very much at the expensive end of the scale) we have these two: the £1m Aston Martin Valour and the £231k Porsche 911 S/T. The Valour pairs a manual gearbox with Aston’s twin-turbo 5.2-litre V12 for the first time, and those mechanicals are clothed in retro-inspired carbonfibre bodywork. Just 110 will be made, at £1m-plus each. As for the Porsche, you can look at it either as a 911 GT3 RS with a manual gearbox and without that wing, or as a GT3 Touring with the wick turned up. Either way, it marries an epic engine that revs to 9,000rpm, with a manual ‘box and lightweight clutch. There’s still life in the ol’ stick shift then!     • Ever heard of a car manufacturer "Mitsuoka"? Even in Japan not many people recognize this brand, but they are the 10th car maker established here. They don't really develop cars from the beginning, and they are rather a coachbuilder, taking production cars like Nissan March and replacing the bodywork with its own custom designs. This "Orochi" is their biggest hit, its name meaning "8-headed dragon" appearing in old Japanese myths. The exterior is wide and low, but with 233hp and 5AT transmission it's not really a sports car. In fact, Mitsuoka says "Orochi is the car to ride to gather attention from everyone", and categorizes this car as a "Fashion-Super Car".   • Opel Combo-e Life - Top beim Platz - schwach bei der Reichweite !
    • Er hat Platz für bis zu 7 Personen, oder für einen riesigen Laderaum. Er fährt sich echt prima, gleitet elektroleise dahin, und bietet ein sehr angenehmes Fahrgefühl. Einziges Manko: Er kommt nicht so weit. Laut Opel soll er bis zu 280 km schaffen. Das hat bei unserer Testfahrt leider nicht geklappt.
