Which gets us to the core of issue of the Flying Spur. Or perhaps the best thing about it. It all depends on your perspective. Because there isn’t that much strictly new on the new Flying Spur. The great new infotainment system that’s new to Flying Spur looks amazing with a large touch-screen interface controlling virtually everything is the same we’ve seen on the new Continental GT. The three sided revolving facia that can deliver the so-called “digital-detox” by hiding the screen away in favour of a wood finish alone or a set of analogue dials was first shown off last year. Bar that 3D leather it all feel very familiar indeed. Familiar also is the engine. The 6-liter twin-turbocharged W12 now delivers 626 horsepower and 664 pounds-feet of torque which it certainly needs to make use of to shift its not inconsiderable 5373 lbs of mass. From standing start the Flying Spur can hit 60mph in 3.7 seconds and it will keep on going to 207 mph. Power is delivered to all four wheels through the ZF 8-speed dual-clutch transmission that also found its way into the Continental GT and is the same as the PDK you can find in the current generation Porsche Panamera. That’s not the only similarity to its Stuttgart sibling, Panamera, Continental GT and Flying Spur all also share a chassis. There’s a 48V active anti-roll bar which we first saw on the Bentayga and now also on the Continental GT as well as new three-chamber air suspension. The Flying Spur is fairly large at over 17 feet in length but the rear-wheel steer (a first for Bentley and one feature that is unique to the Spur) helps out massively when negotiating the incredibly cramped and twisty roads of the tiny principality. With the rear wheels counter-steering at slow speed the wheel base actually felt no longer than the Continental hiding the bulk of the Flying Spur effectively. Once out in the mountains the rear-wheel steer continued to make hairpins a breeze. It seems like ironic, the one thing that’s truly unique to the Flying Spur makes it feel more like a Continental. The ample torque available can hurtle the Flying Spur off the line towards the horizon effortlessly and the weight of the car is all but forgotten until its time to hit the brakes. There’s a reason the Flying Spur has been fitted with the largest steel brakes ever fitted to a production car and the Flying Spur uses every last bit of them to efficiently bring its bulk back to a halt. The 48V anti-roll bar in keeps the Flying Spur controlled though faster tight corners but my preference was to dial back the suspension to one of its softer modes to help manage the shift of mass when really going for it. The steering has enough weight to make a challenging drive feel controlled but it’s light enough under normal driving to make driving feel effortless. Under everything but the most spirited of drives the “B” option on the mode dial which gives you the automatically adapting mode gives a perfectly balanced and comfortable ride. Leave the car in that mode and you’ll rarely be disappointed as the Flying Spur reacts to your inputs and gives you its interpretation of what you need. Use the Flying Spur on long drives and you’re rewarded with exquisite comfort in some of the best seats the car industry has ever made. Spec the optional Naim audio system and you have one of the best sounding infotainment set-ups money can buy. There is a small amount of the dynamism of the GT that has been lost in the translation to the saloon form factor. A touch less response from the steering, a little more laborious under braking but in general it’s remarkable how similar they feel. Which might be the biggest compliment you could give any car today. The Flying Spur has lifted most of its new features from the rest of the Bentley stable and the result is a car that drives, and feels extremely familiar. This can’t be seen as anything less than a good thing when the cars it borrows from, Continental GT, Bentayga and Porsche Panamera, are themselves so great. But where those three cars do feel very distinct from each other, the Flying Spur does feel like it’s trying to deliver the same balance between a dynamic ride and extreme luxurious comfort as the Continental GT. Although it falls slightly short of achieving that fully, the added advantages of a luxurious rear seating experience more than make up for it.

And while figures like those probably looked enticing when BMW started development years ago, enthusiasts aren’t exactly lapping up electrified performance cars in 2024… But, but, but… this is also an all-new BMW M5! It’s the stuff of legend, with a long legacy of always being top dog over and above rivals from Audi and Mercedes. And while there’s yet to be a new AMG version of the E-class, and Audi will soon end production of the RS6 and RS7, the M5 is here, and with a stonkingly powerful V8 too. Downsizing is not in effect!     • This 1979 "G-Body" Porsche 911 has been stripped to bare metal and rebuilt from the ground up to not only a very high performance standard, but also a very high cosmetic standard. It was built by GProgramm of Oyster Bay, NY, with the goal of bringing out the very best of classic 911 styling and modern performance in an air-cooled package. It has been converted from torsion beam to coil-over suspension, with big brakes, modern Fuchs-look wheels, and a 350-horsepower 3.4L "Twin Plug" flat-six. It's been media blasted right down to the body, repainted in a lovely slate gray. It's got the business the suspension has been completely gone through it's now on coil overs Bilstein dampers, it has Boxster Pistons at all four corners so it should be pretty thorough stopping power there's roll bar vintage style roll bar these lovely comfortable vintage look seats and a tartan that I really just have to get my hands on. The gearbox is still a 915 version 5-speed and this company only does G body cars so it's not the full back date it's not modern 911s but only G body cars so this car only weighs 2,300 pounds and with quite a riot so let's have a go. Now, according to the guys at GProgramm, I gotta wind out so wind it out I will. It's got slightly bigger and we're 255 rear tire, Bridgestone Potenza Very direct steering, not power assisted. Well rather than sit behind cars in this lovely piece of hardware, we're gonna flippen ze bitchen right here and just make ourselves a new direction. It's got a lot of front tire, seems like it's tramlining a little bit but it might also need some alignment settings after across the US but feels real good. It's luxurious but also got really good bolstering, it's holding me in. Making me happy! Just a little hint of understeer on power but the lift brings it right back. Luftgek¸hlt! Man, it's got a really good power-to-weight ratio definitely enough power to get yourself in all kinds of trouble It's linear enough and it's not overwhelming to the chassis. Lovely day for a drive in Malibu; cool, dense air, medium humidity It's got 46mm carbs and, to be perfectly honest, I don't know what that means in the grand scheme of things but they were awfully proud of it. Really engaging, really rewarding and I've found construction. It was an unofficial quote bu when I said "When you build a car just like this what's the price point?" They said $200,000. Whoa, $200,000 is quite a lot now it's not to say that there isn't quite a lot of engineering in this car, these twin plug engines I hear are quite expensive and some might say worth it and this car feels mostly very sorted. Having said that, do I personally feel $200,000 on a regular G body Carrera that just happens to be some wonky color that's super rare? No, and people pay that all the time so what do I know? There's the 'what do I know' example for sure. So price is relative if you can afford it, I can just tell you that it drives beautifully I can tell you that Prefer not thinking about what it would cost to build one and I can tell you that it does drive beautifully and before you commenters say that's Singer money I do have to tell you that it is not Singer money. A Singer starts at 400 and goes up to half Singer money. This car is 10 years older than my Fox Body which I drove up here this morning and it makes my Fox Body feel, in terms of build quality, like an absolute steaming pile of crap. I mean I'll be honest my Fox Body's great, I love it but compared to the build quality of something like this even the basic car, there's no comparison. There's a Nash Metropolitan around here that runs like 8's. You know making a car fast is only impressive to a certain degree. You can't un-shitbox something no matter how much money you spend so, by starting with this beautiful well-made Porsche, you're quite ahead of the game already. I'll say it again do I know if it's worth $200,000? It depends on how much money you have. If you don't have $200,000 to burn then no it's not if you have a lot more than $200,000 well there' other things you can spend $200,000 on that are far dumber than this but let's not harp on the price let's just harp on the fact that I'm going to end this video with two minutes of twin plug goodness and I'll fade out check out GProgramm in the description.     • This is a car collection with a difference! Not only does a Pagani Zonda Revolucion take the flagship roll in the mancave, but there's a Zonda R inside @69rideordie's living room! Join me to explore this incredible garage and private car collection, as well as the totally unique and unbelievably cool setup. Getting started in the garage, there is an eclectic selection of race cars; highlighted for me by the Pagani Zonda Revolucion. Sitting around it there are road going supercars like the McLaren Senna (a friend currently borrowing a space from the Pagani Huayra BC that's on the way back from Europe), Porsche GT2 RS and Lamborghini Gallardo Squadra Corse. In addition there are 3 World Rally Championship cars, a Dakar Rally car, a NASCAR, 2 Indycars, a Huracan Supertrofeo, Prage and some superbikes... all presented in an environment for the purpose with flags hanging, tyres stacked, and ornaments on display. The Pagani Zonda Revolucion is one of only 5 that were built and this one has been used properly being driven at racetracks on 3 different continents. The Revolucion followed from the 15 Zonda Rs and 1 R Evolution, and has a 6.0l V12 that makes 800hp along with it only weighing 1,070kg. However, it's heading over to @69rideordie's apartment that's really setting us up for something unique. Acting as a dividing wall between the living room and bedroom is a Pagani Zonda R! It may not run the entire engine and running gear but the bodywork is complete and displayed to behold in full glorious exposed carbon fibre.     • This is a classic video and it can be found *everywhere* on the net. It's an absolute must-see, if you love the Nordschleife or want to learn the track. Watch Hans-Joachim Stuck carve through traffic in his BMW M3 GTR on his way to a record-setting lap, and hear his insightful turn-by-turn commentary. This video is a mashup of two other videos, listed below. I have mixed the engine and gearbox noise very loud (the way it should be IMHO), which makes the commentary a little hard to hear, but I've added subtitles so you can can still catch every word. Sadly, the video quality is not good - not on any version of this video that I know about. I don't think a high-quality version has *ever* been available. I did what I could to help it - mainly boosting the colors a little, and cropping the image for modern 16:9 screens.     • This is a remake of one of our first Videos. It features the spectacular Renault Mégane V6 Trophy Evo 3 of Joaquim Teixeira that raced on the Portuguese Hillclimb Championship between 2016 and 2018. Powered by the 420Hp Naturally Aspirated V4Y-RS engine tha is also used on the Formula Renault units, positioned right behind the driver, it is a pure race car delivering an incredible soundtrack. Spaceframed, weighing only 980Kg and with all power being delivered to the Rear Wheels through a 6-speed Sequential Gearbox, it is a delicate machine that posted quite impressive results while at the same time offering some difficulties to be used in Hillclimb Racing. In any case it is a spectacular Car and certainly difficult to match when it comes to its uniqueness. Now in Spain, we might have more news of it still in 2020...

    • This is an in-depth review of the 2022 Volkswagen GTI, delivered by a VW Fan with a closeup perspective on the previous Mk7 Golf. The Mk7 GTI might have no bigger fan than Jason Cammisa — and in this episode of Revelations, he explains why he thinks it's a better overall car than the new Mk8. This, after comically admitting that his house looks like a Volkswagen shrine. Being a fanboy cuts both ways — it can mean blind adoration for a new car based on the previous version, or it can result in unrealistic expectations. Perhaps both are true this time around. The Mk8 is quicker than the Mk7 (we include testing results) but the problems start with cost-cutting and questionable decisions that seem to prioritize gimmicks over substance. Things like the overwrought exterior styling, GPS-blocking cell-phone holder, or worse — the fact that the interior accent lighting is infinitely color-adjustable, but there's no illumination at all for the volume temperature controls; the two most-used secondary controls in any car. At the end of the day, it's the Mk8's UX (User Interface) that lets the car down, not its inherent greatness. The GTI greatness — speed, capability, everyday usability, packaging, efficiency — is all there.     • This is Aston Martin's brand new V12 Speedster! A stunning open 2-seat hypercar limited to just 88 units at a cost of £765,000 each from the team at Aston Martin Q. The V12 Speedster squeezes the 5.2l Twin Turbo V12 from the DBS into a Vantage chassis, and will create a special driving experience as a result. What do you think? Visiting the home of Aston Martin in Gaydon, UK, it's almost a mini-motorshow with the new cars on display including the DBX from Q, new Vantage Roadster and the Valhalla sporting a new appearance in orange. The highlight to me though is of course the new V12 Speedster, a beautiful and incredibly limited model inspired by the F/A 18 Hornet fighter jet. Based on the chassis and platform of the new Vantage, the V12 Speedster also squeezes in the V12 making 700hp and 753nm which with the 8spd ZF auto makes for a 3.5s sprint to 100km/h (62mph) and a top speed of 300km/h (186mph). Visually it's striking, with additional openings for cooling at the front of an elongated bonnet and lack of windscreen. The seats are cocooned inside the cabin which itself is loaded with fighter jet inspirations. Behind the cabin sits the rear buttresses that house the carbon fibre helmets above a carbon fibre lined storage area. It's undeniably good-looking, but is there space in the market that's becoming congested with both the Ferrari SP1 and SP2 Monza, and McLaren's recently launched Elva? Time will tell. With the mid-engine C8 looming on the horizon the wizards over at Chevrolet decided to throw everything at the existing C7 platform they could think of. That meant a 755-hp supercharged 6.2L LT5 V8, an aero package fit for a spaceship and of course a 7-speed manual gearbox that helps the ZR1 reach a top speed of 212-mph. So - is this the best C7 Corvette ever? You're damn right it is!

    • This is my 59 Bel Air. I am the second owner, and have owned the car since March 1978. I paid $75.00 for it, with 58,000 miles at that time. It is still mostly original, other than it has been repainted, by me, in 1984. Dashboard still has the factory original paint and gauges. Everything on the car works great. Options are, clock, deluxe heater, two speed electric wipers, AM radio,Tissue Dispenser, parking brake alarm...blinking red light in very beginning of video... EZI glass...tinted, rocker moldings, vent shades and license plate pocket guard...gas filler is behind license plate. The engine is a 348 cid 250 hp Turbo Thrust V-8, that has never been overhauled. It has a 4-Jet Rochester carb. The power steering is driven off the rear of the generator...yes it has a DC generator....not a AC alternator with diodes to change the AC to DC current. Power brakes are boosted by factory Bendix booster. Trans is a 3 speed manual and axle ratio is 3.36 to1. Driving it from Michigan to Georgia it got 18 mpg and used no oil.

    • This is my first Ferrari 599 SA Aperta I spot on the street ! It's painted in a beautiful metallic yellow (Giallo Tristato). It had a hard roof. I don't know if it fits in the trunk. The car is basically a 599 roadster but with a 599 GTO engine ! From the front, I can't tell the differences with a GTO. The drops of rain give the car a lot of charm when you look at the details... Enjoy !
