Or if you get Mythos black or Nardo grey, you get black wheels or black and polished wheels and black and grey decals! The Performance updates are initially very similar to the RS6 Performance with 850NM. But this builds upon it with 0-60 in 3.3 — the diff on the rear axle has been specially tuned in dynamic mode to be more agile, and more neutral handling and giving a better launch. We also have better handling with heightened steering, dynamics and less understeer — as now for the first time and only for the GT we have adjustable coilover suspension! This Lowers the height by 10mm, gives us A higher spring rate, triple-adjustable dampers and Stiffer stabilizers; 30 percent stiffer at the front and 80 percent at the rear. It’s an absolutely gorgeous car with a wide, unique body like an E63 and features a 6-cylinder hybrid setup that might just make it the best AMG daily driver we can hope to own! The #AMG E53 is powered by the typical setup most new performance cars are getting these days: a combustion engine, an electric motor, and a battery pack, giving a total output of 612BHP. The Performance edition of the #Audi #RS7 and RS6 are here, as the only versions you can buy until the facelift. One word drove #AudiSport for this car, and that was emotion - in sound, power and dynamics. They took on customer and journalist feedback from the original, which was overwhelmingly about lack of emotion - so in similar style to the RS4/5 competition, they have hit key areas to bring a smile to our faces! And boy have they!! The RS7 doesn’t have a long history, and if anything it’s a left field choice even VS the RS6. Its first version was in the C7 as a practical hatchback coupe alternate to the avant. It made 560 HP from its V8, and also had a Performance with 45PS power increase, and more torque on over-boost. In this C8 gen, unlike rivals, Audi put their weight of design into the car, with serious focus on sportiness. Here only the hood, front doors and hatchback shared with a normal A7. It’s a massive 1.6 inches wider, with that same aggressive width that makes the RS6 such legend of the stance game. And unlike rivals like E63/M5 - not just reserved for the front, the rear doors and arches are also massive, with matching wide side sills! This standard car used the V8 twin turbo with 592BHP and 800NM, and 0-60 in 3.6 seconds. It also has a mild hybrid with an additional boost of 12hp, going to the 8 speed torque converter and Quattro system. But now, it’s levelled up to its highest form. The RS7 Performance. First the engine update: we now have Larger turbos - increase boost pressure from 2.4 to 2.6bar - helping it make 630PS, 850NM (30PS and 50NM more) and an alleged 0-60 in 3.4. More crucially, we have an upgraded 8 speed with faster shift times, and a new self locking centre differential - both lighter and smaller for heightened steering, dynamics and less understeer. A huge focus was also on Sound and Weight - We have 8KG less insulation in the engine, interior and rear, to help with that emotional factor. New lighter 22 inch wheels with an open design aids cooling, but crucially 5kg lighter per wheel - 20 total! Continental have developed new Performance Tyres in the sport contact 7 - that help with a Two meter shorter brake distance. Get the RS dynamics plus package like our matte blue car, and you get a top speed unlock and a choice of ceramics, grey red or blue; these are a massive 34KG lighter than steels! So it has a formula that is actually quite similar to the RS5 competition that we drove recently, and absolutely loved! Which bodes well for our drive today. 2024 Porsche 718 Spyder RS Walkaround- ▪ Fastest and most powerful 718 Roadster of all time ▪ Uncompromising lightweight convertible roof with manual mechanism ▪ 1,410 kg thanks to consistently lightweight construction ▪ 500 PS high-revving engine from the 911 GT3 Porsche crowns the 718 mid-engined model line with a sports car designed for maximum driving pleasure: the new 718 Spyder RS is the open-top counterpart to the 718 Cayman GT4 RS. For the first time, the 368 kW (500 PS) naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer from the 911 GT3 features in an open-topped mid-engined sports car. High-revving naturally aspirated engine The powertrain of the new 718 Spyder RS is identical to that of the 718 Cayman GT4 RS coupe. The six-cylinder boxer engine, with its cylinder displacement of 4.0 litres, revs up to 9,000 rpm and generates an output of 368 kW (500 PS) and maximum torque of 450 Newton metres. Combined with a short-ratio seven-speed PDK transmission, the six-cylinder engine catapults the two-seater roadster from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. The car hits the 200-km/h mark in just 10.9 seconds. Compared to the 718 Spyder without the ‘RS’ designation, the new range-topper not only benefits from an additional 59 kW (80 PS), but also accelerates to 100 km/h half a second faster. The top speed is now 308 km/h instead of 300 km/h. Like every modern RS model, the new 718 Spyder RS is available exclusively with the Porsche dual clutch transmission (PDK). This gearbox shifts through its seven gears at lightning speed and guarantees maximum performance. The gearshift paddles allow drivers to keep their hands on the steering wheel even when shifting gears manually. Alternatively, the driver can use the ergonomically designed selector lever on the centre console. In addition to the more powerful engine, the new model’s lower weight also contributes to better performance: at 1,410 kilograms, the Spyder RS weighs 40 kg less than the 718 Spyder with PDK and is actually five kilograms lighter than the closed 718 Cayman GT4 RS. Balanced aerodynamics The front end of the new Porsche 718 Spyder RS is almost identical to the front end of the 718 Cayman GT4 RS. The standard front bonnet is made of CFRP and features a wide air outlet above the bumper. The two NACA ducts enhance brake cooling without adversely affecting the Cd value. Sideblades on the outer ends of the bumper increase downforce. The front spoiler lip is slightly shorter than on the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, which in conjunction with its large rear wing produces higher overall downforce on the Cayman and therefore requires a larger spoiler lip to achieve aerodynamic balance. Instead of a wing, the 718 Spyder RS features a striking tear-off edge shaped like a ducktail. All aerodynamic components are intricately coordinated. They maintain the car’s aerodynamic balance and ensure maximum driving stability at high speeds. Purist soft-top design The new 718 Spyder RS comes with a manually operated single-layer lightweight soft-top. The design is amazingly compact, consisting of two parts: a sun sail and a weather deflector. Both are completely removable and can be stowed together or singly in the vehicle. The sun sail alone can also be used as a ‘Bimini top’, thereby protecting the driver and front passenger from intense sunlight. The passenger compartment remains largely open to the side and behind the passengers. Together with the weather deflector, this creates a complete top that provides effective protection against rain when the side windows are raised. The entire roof, including mechanical parts, weighs just 18.3 kg. That’s 7.6 kg less than the 718 Spyder and 16.5 kg less than in the 718 Boxster. Sports suspension of the highest precision and agility The chassis of the 718 Spyder RS uses components from the 718 Cayman GT4 RS and the 718 Spyder and is designed for maximum driving pleasure on winding roads. It comes standard with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with sports tuning and has been lowered by 30 millimetres. It also features Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with mechanical limited-slip differential, ball-jointed suspension bearings and 20-inch forged aluminium wheels. The behaviour of the chassis is characterised by razor-sharp steering precision, as well as agile and extremely neutral handling. The ride height, camber, track and anti-roll bar can all be adjusted individually. Compared to the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, spring and damper rates have been reduced to achieve a more relaxed, characteristically convertible-style set-up. The new Porsche 718 Spyder RS starts at €155,575. The new Porsche 718 Spyder RS celebrates its public premiere in June at the festivities marking 75 years of Porsche Sports Cars in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen. This Porsche 930 Turbo Is A Widowmaker- “We’ve had Porsches in our family for decades…my father’s had a billion of them, I think,” says the owner. “But my very first memory [of this car], and my fondest one, is when I put the keys in the ignition and drove it out of my uncle’s garage.” The story of how this 1978 Porsche 911 Turbo ended up with its current owner isn’t typical, but speaks to the bond between enthusiasts. “My uncle was really ill at the time, unfortunately…Yeah, he was going to die, basically…and he rang me up [from] the hospital and said, ‘Look, wondering if you want my car…” From that ending, a new beginning: the owner’s young son, is now able to bond with his father over their shared love for the Turbo. The younger owner will need some training, though: these cars aren’t for the faint of heart. This Dodge Hemi Challenger R/T Is One Family’s Surviving Muscle Car- “In the summer of 1969, we found ourselves in Detroit. It was an exciting time for my father, of course, but for the whole family,” says Juan Escalante. “A visit to the Detroit Auto Show and seeing the Challenger…he just fell in love.” You’re looking at a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 426 Hemi 4-speed, one of only 137 equipped with the largest engine and a manual transmission. Chrysler made around 77,000 Challengers, making this easily one of the most rare variants. “From 1972 to 1996 the car remained in Venezuela,” says Escalante. “Word had preceded the car that a Hemi Challenger was to arrive in Venezuela, and this was among the motorheads and car enthusiasts… The car arrived, and they immediately started referring to the car as ‘El Hemi’.” With difficulty in finding parts in Venezuela, the car slowly slipped into disrepair after being parked—until Escalante and his brother convinced their father to ship the car to the U.S. to have it restored in 1996. Its completion in 2005 was bittersweet, however: their father passed away before the car was finished. “We had to gather ourselves and really think about how we were going to use the car, and one of the things that my dad always stressed was that the car [should be] used, that we would enjoy the car…that we would give rides to our kids and their friends and let them experience it,” says Escalante. “It’s a way of connecting those who have come before us to those who will be coming in the future.” Drive Tastefully® http://Petrolicious.com http://facebook.com/Petrolicious

The Lamborghini Miura Is Still Untamed- “I think it’s the car that put Lamborghini on the map,” says Dennis Varni, and we’d have to agree. Owner of a stunning Miura P400 S since 1979, Varni is an enthusiast with varied tastes, from Bonneville Salt Flats racers to a Fiat Topolino. But the Miura…the Miura is in a league of its own. It’s also something that he’d lusted after since he first laid eyes upon one. “These things were $19,000 new in those days, and I’d just bought a house with my wife for $11,000 in 1966, and I said, ‘I’ll never be able to own one of these’.” But less than a decade later, he did. And as a long-time owner who was originally into hot rods, he’s enjoyed how the car has opened his eyes into a world of European sports cars. “The most redeeming thing about the Miura would be the fact that there’s only so many of them. it’s highly collectable, it’s exciting, because it’s unusual, it’s small, it’s exotic—it’s still exotic today. And it was significant in its styling.” “I hope I get to stay around a long time, and play with all my toys, and then when I go someone else will have them,” he says. This BMW 507 Has Been Reborn In The Memory Of Elvis Presley- “Around 2006, I drove down to the Half Moon Bay. The car was standing for years in a barn on a pumpkin farm,” begins Klaus Kutscher, Restoration Expert at BMW Classic. “It was really rough. A lot of parts were missing…” he says. Even finding a BMW 507 is an achievement, but true ‘barn find’ cars often require a Herculean amount of work to get right. This particular car had a saving grace, however: “We searched the VIN number and realized that the car belonged to Elvis.” That’s right: when Elvis Presley was based in Germany for the U.S. military, he drove this very car as his daily driver, even buying a second to give to friend Ursula Andress. As you could imagine, Elvis driving around Germany in a white BMW 507—of which there were roughly 250 examples made—wasn’t difficult to spot. “He loved the 507,” Kutscher says. “The car was normally white, and all his fans made kisses with lipsticks on the car, so he was mad and he painted the car red after that,” with Kutscher confirming the legend. It’s stories like those that helped to keep the restoration moving, even as the true measure of the task began to present itself. “The dashboard was cut and they had other instruments also in the car. They cut the frame. The car was painted twice, then black, and then after that again in red. Then the car [had] …a big accident.” Responsible for restoration at BMW Classic, the car presented both an opportunity to preserve history, as well as showcase the talents of his team in front of some serious crowds. After recently making its full public debut during Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance as the centerpiece of BMW’s 100-Year anniversary celebrations, the car will undoubtedly be active and present at classic car events for years to come. “We always want to keep the car in this condition.
