Taking the roof off the most brutal flagship V12 raging bull with a limited run of 800 units, the presentation has taken place at the VAG Night ahead of the 2019 Geneva Motorshow. The SVJ Roadster here is presented in a special livery by Ad Personam with the body in Bronzo Zenas, with Bianco Phanes accents and pinstripes. In the back is found the same 6.5l NA V12 making 770hp and the ALA system for active aerodynamics; Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva. In addition to the SVJ Roadster, other group brands presented their cars including the Bugatti Chiron Sport '110 ans Bugatti' of which 20 units are made to celebrate the company's 110th anniversary. Another special occasion is to be celebrated for Bentley in their centenary of 100 years from 1919 and in this case with the launch of the Continental GT Number 9 Edition of which 100 cars will be build; commemorating the Bentley Boys 4 1/2 litre Blower from 1930.   • Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 testing at Monza: Starts, Pit Limiter, Downshifts & Pure V10 Sound!
    • Lamborghini is yet another manufaturer that has updated its GT3-class weapon ahead of the 2023 season and of course for the upcoming LMGT3-class of the FIA WEC from 2024. The Huracán GT3 has reached its third generation with an interesting upgrade package (called 'EVO2'), always developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse. The main aesthetic characteristics that distinguish the EVO2 from the previous GT3 EVO are for sure the new airscoop and rear fin, taken from the Huracán Super Trofeo race cars. The scoop was introduced to contribute to greater efficiency of the intake system and it's connected to a snorkel which optimally channels the airflow directly into the engine. This also allowed to remove the two side air vents on the upper part of the GT3 EVO body and reshape it for better air flow to the rear wing. Other visible changes have been made to the rear diffuser, there's a new front splitter and new front and rear bumpers with design elements that refer to the Huracán STO model. The engine is still the reliable 5.2-litre V10 unit which has been further improved with the introduction of 10 electronically actuated throttle bodies that boost the efficiency of the titanium-valved V10. I also noticed that some work has been done on engine mapping since the EVO2 has more explosive upshifts plus a crackling overrun with more aggressive downshifts compared to the previous EVO generation (you can also spots some little flames from the exhaust on downshifts). So happy that the GT3 EVO's distinctive whistle generated by some body parts at higher speed has remained on the EVO2. The SC20 is the second one-off engineered by the motorsport department and designed by Centro Stile in Sant’Agata Bolognese: the car was created following the customer’s wishes, who was involved in the project from the very first drawings by Lamborghini’s designers. The common goal was to build a unique vehicle, extreme in its design and performance, and able to combine aerodynamic solutions taken from racing Lamborghinis incorporating unprecedented lines and exclusive details. “Two years after the SC18 Alston, the SC20 was a new, intriguing challenge. The chief sources of inspiration were the Diablo VT Roadster, Aventador J, Veneno Roadster and Concept S, and the result is a dramatic combination of creativity and racing attitude,” commented Mitja Borkert, Head of Design Lamborghini Centro Stile. The carbon fiber body was polished and slicked down by hand by the Lamborghini aerodynamic engineers to deliver optimal airflow for both performance and the cockpit’s occupants, ensuring comfortable open-air driving even at high speeds. The pronounced front splitter is framed by two fins and the air intakes on the front hood are inspired by those of the Huracán GT3 EVO, while the sculpted body sides reflect the solutions adopted on the Essenza SCV12. The muscular rear is topped by a large carbon fiber wing that can be set in three different positions: Low, Medium and High Load.

    • Last week during a test organized by Kateyama at Monza Circuit I recorded three new Audi RS3 LMS cars, one from the italian Bolza Corse team and two from Comtoyou Racing. The car was unveiled last year as a replacement of the previous 2017 RS3 LMS and it's based on the road-legal Typ 8Y RS3 Sedan. Being developed and modified to comply with TCR Series regulations means that, unfortunately, its 2.5-litre 5-cylinder engine has been replaced by a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, which is able to produce around 340 hp at 6250 rpm and 460 Nm of torque at 2500 rpm. I'm not surprised by this thing because the current Lambo GT3 racer hasn't been updated and improved since its unveil in 2015.     • Last week in Monza I recorded the brand new Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus weapon for the 2020 Nürburgring 24 hours and the VLN/NLS series, where it will be raced in the SPX-class but in the future it will receive the GT3-class homologation (No, this is not the Le Mans Hypercar-class car which is called 007 and it's yet to be completed). I saw this car doing the first shakedown on track last February, before the Italian lockdown, and this was the second proper test the car did after a 30 hours endurance session at Aragon months ago. As for the SGC 003C, the new 004C is developed in partnership with Podium Advanced Technologies. It is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 developed by Autotecnica Motori from a GM LT4 pushrod engine.     • Last week, I had the chance to participate in the Creme21 Youngtimer Rallye. Thanks to BMW Classic, I drove this BMW E30 333i. A wonderful car with a glorious sound. I tried to quickly make a little soundclip to share with you guys as I can imagine there's not a lot of soundclips of the 333i. It wasn't easy to do this during the rallye, but I hope you like it anyway. At the end of the video there's some bonus in-car accelerations, where something went wrong with the sound. It seems like it went a little crazy over the GPS signal of the tripmaster or mobile phone. For those who don't know about the car, here's some facts: BMW E30 333i -Made for the South African market only (so only RHD) -204 cars were made -3.2 litre M30B32 engine with Alpina intake -197hp -Getrag (Dogleg) 5-speed manual gearbox -25% LSD -Alpina suspension with Bilstein dampers -0-100km/h takes 7.3 seconds -Top speed of 228 km/h

With over 100 cars to explore, the highlights include the Centenario, LaFerrari, Veyron, Carrera GT, F40 and an almost endless list more. Split across two locations, there is a museum-like rotating display of around 25 cars from the collection presented at the E-motion venue. Downstairs you can find 8 racing simulators, a restaurant and bar as well as private hosting venue, then we go upstairs to see a current view of some cars chosen as they hadn't previously been displayed. Amongst the highlights are a Maserati MC12, Ferrari F12tdf, Porsche GT2 RS, Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM Roadster, Ferrari 16M, Ford GT Heritage, Ferrari 599 GTO, Brabus SL73, Mercedes 190E Evo 2, and much more. From there we jump back in the car to drive over to see the full collection, and this is where my mind is blown!   • My First Look at the New FERRARI SF90 STRADALE!
    • Let's take a close look at the brand new Ferrari SF90 Stradale! It's Ferrari's first series production hybrid, boasting 1,000hp with a hybrid V8 setup, and with an entirely new dashboard and driving modes for the driver. Join me now though to discover the car in detail and even have a sound check from that new engine! The Ferrari SF90 Stradale stands for Scuderia Ferrari 90th anniversary and Stradale - the Italian word for road. With an enlarged 4.0l TT V8 making almost 800hp and a little over 200hp coming from 3 electric motors for a total of 1000PS, it also is the first Ferrari to offer a front wheel drive set up with 15 miles of eDrive range running entirely electrically. On the exterior, the car also creates 380kg of downforce at 250km/h owing to aero that's integrated into the bodywork. From a performance perspective, 0-100km/h is dispatched in just 2.5 seconds and it will go on to a top speed of 340km/h (211mph). On the inside, the driver is greeted by a new 16" curved display screen along with controls throughout with a new touch display interface. On the steering wheel are the options for Qualifying, Performance, Normal and eDrive modes, along with the traditional Manettino modes, now visually electrified in the display too. For the drive selector, the panel is created in the style of an old gated manual shifter, a positive nod to Ferraris of old. The car is on display here at the brand new HR Owen Ferrari showroom in London's Berkeley Square in Mayfair, where we can also explore the Monza SP1, the first member of the Icona series. For a quick tour as well, the showroom offers a lounge style facility for customers to experience the brand and to configure their future vehicles. As a special bonus, we can also have a quick sound check and hear the new engine firing into life off the hybrid system and the grumbles of a few gentle blips too. Initial impressions from my side are incredibly positive; knowing that the car comes in at under £400,000 it really is breathtaking performance offered at a price point that other marques haven't really been able to content with up to this point. The times are exciting for Ferrari and the SF90 is a very intriguing vehicle that I cannot wait to drive in the future.     • Let's take a first look and walkaround of the brand new McLAREN SPEEDTAIL! It's one of the most anticipated cars of recent times, not only as it's the fastest McLaren ever, but also a return to the iconic 3-seat configuration seen in the legendary McLaren F1. Join me for a special preview to take a first walkaround and look at the car to explore some of the remarkable technology it introduces. The McLaren Speedtail was formerly known by the codename, BP23, and arrives with a whole host of new technology. Not only is the driving seat in the centre, but it's surrounded by a glass cabin unlike anything else. For aerodynamics there are ailerons at the rear from flexible carbon fibre that can constantly adjust. The handles are replaced by motorised doors and the mirrors removed for camera systems displayed as part of the interior displays. There are a few technical numbers that have been published: 1,050 horsepower, 0-300km/h (186mph) in 12.8 seconds and will go to a top speed of 403km/h (250mph). There will only be a total of 106 units built and they come at a price tag of £1,750,000 plus taxes (£2,100,000 in the UK). With many more pieces of information to be presented about the car in future, we get a special opportunity to explore and walkaround a very early model of the McLaren Speedtail to get a taster for what this completely sold-out hypercar is all about.
