    • We were lucky enough to catch Gordon Ramsay driving his brand-new Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta around central London today. The car is one of just 199 built and is finished in Bianco Italia (pearl white). It is powered by a 6.3-litre V12 with the hybrid KERS system from the LaFerrari and has 950 bhp. The car can reach 217 mph and do 0-60 in just under 3 seconds. It costs $2.1 million new, but as all have been sold to lucky customers, it's likely to increase in value.

    • We were invited to take a look at the new Ferrari Roma, a mid-front-engined 2+ coupé. With a timeless design combined with the promise of unparalleled performance and handling, we were very excited to get behind the wheel and give you our verdict. Paul headed out to Bra, Italy to get hands on with this latest Grand Tourer from Ferrari. The Ferrari Roma really does catch the eye, but not in the usual way you would expect it to from the prestigious brand. When you think of Ferrari you would be excused for thinking sporty, cutting edge, aero and all the ingredients that make for an incredible supercar. But with the Roma, it shows off sleek lines, gentle brush strokes and ultimately just, elegance. Don’t be fooled in to thinking it is all show either, the Ferrari Roma sports the reknown 3.9l Twin Turbo V8, reworked slightly to produce 620hp and 760Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to the 8 speed dual clutch gearbox that was initially created for the SF90 Stradale, offering incredible shift times and an all-round pretty exhilarating experience. The Roma is also equipped with a 5 stage Manettino including Race mode, unlike the Portofino, giving it a more versatile breadth of capability, from gentle cruising to spirited driving, the Roma handles it all! The sound is somewhat unique to the rest of the Ferrari range. With ever increasing emission regulations, the introduction of OPFs and what not, all manufacturers are really struggling in this area to produce the exhaust sound we all love and crave for. That being said, the Roma still sounds superb! Drivetrain: This Impala is powered by a smooth running 283, the motor is clean on the underside. There is no smoke and or burning oil coming from the exhaust. It does have a slight dead spot upon acceleration but it seems to be a carb issue as it goes away once warm. Overall it is a very solid and sorted car. It runs great. The Ferrari 308 GTB (and similar 208 and later 328) are mid-engined sports cars manufactured by the Italian company Ferrari in the 1970s-1980s. They made up the lower end of the company's range. The 308 replaced the Dino 246 in 1975 and was updated as the 328 in 1985. The Pininfarina-styled 308 GTB was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 1975 as a supplement to the Bertone-shaped Dino 308 GT4 and a replacement for the Dino 246. It was designed by Leonardo Fioravanti who had been responsible for some of Ferrari's most celebrated shapes to date such as the Daytona, the Dino and the Berlinetta Boxer. The 308 used elements of these shapes to create something very much in contrast with the angular GT4 2+2. The GTB/GTS was a 2-seater with sweeping curves and aggressive lines, and has become one of the more recognizable and iconic cars produced by Ferrari to date. The targa topped 308 GTS was introduced in 1977 and was made famous on the television series Magnum, P.I.. Several cars were used, a new one for each season, most being auctioned off after filming. The first was a 1979 model with chassis number 28251.

  • V12 Manual 8 Series | 1991 BMW 850i Full Tour & Review
    • We knock another classic car of our bucket list, with the 1991 BMW 850i in Brilliant Red, and a 6 speed manual. The E31 BMW 8 Series has always been a car on our list to feature on TestDrive. It's a unique vehicle in BMW's lineup from the 90s, sitting as their only sports coupé with a V12 engine. Unlike Mercedes-Benz who made an S-Class Coupe and renamed it the CL-Class closer to the end of the W140's production run, the 8 Series was never meant to be the two door version of the E32 7 Series. We don't often see the BMW 850i on the road, but when we do we notice it instantly. It offers a very unique front end, with tiny square kidney grilles that resemble the original BMW M1 racecar. The popup headlights are also a unique trait on this vehicle, something we never saw from BMW before, or since. Our full tour and review of this 1991 BMW 850i E31 goes over some of the exterior design elements, including some of BMW's clever weight distribution techniques. We also jump inside to see what an OEM interior looks like with some small OEM upgrades. We start it up and give it a little rev also with it's absolutely bone stock exhaust system. We're then taken on one of the most exciting drives we've ever gone on with TestDrive, as we cruise around the streets of Mississauga in this V12 6-speed manual BMW sports car. We wrap up our episode of the E31 on some common problems to look out for if you're in the market for this type of vehicle.
